Verse of the Day feature does NOT work

The New Breed
Notifications are turned on for Verse of the Day reminders. Once clicked on, the app opens to the Bible verse chosen for the first day the App was installed. That page seems frozen in time. The verses DO NOT change from day-to-day, and there is no way for the App to refresh itself to get a new verse. The search feature is problematic for quick reference, too. At least the Bible portion is easy to use and works well.

I’ve been looking for an app for a couple hours and this is the only one which both:1 - Was advertised as Douay-Rheims and actually was. And2 - Allowed me to bookmark certain versesI would recommend this to anyone!
