Description

The Pulse Oximetry app brings a feature rich yet simple interface to help manage and monitor your respiratory health, without the need to register or subscribe to a service.

IMPORTANT!
The Pulse Oximetry app requires a Bluetooth pulse oximeter purchased separately. The app supports many of the most popular commercially available Bluetooth pulse oximeters. To see the complete list of supported devices please go to www.appinlights.com/pulseoximetry/

IMPORTANT!
This app is neither certified nor approved by any regulatory agency, and shall not be used for medical diagnosis. All information provided shall only be used for education, instruction or research. Alarm conditions experienced while monitoring or recording shall not be considered medical emergencies, but it is recommended that any alarm condition be given attention to ensure the safety of the person being monitored. The Pulse Oximetry app does not collect personal identifiable information.

The Pulse Oximetry App
It cannot be overstated how important it is to manage or monitor asthma, cystic fibrosis or COPD, including chronic bronchitis and emphysema, for yourself or a loved one, with the current threat of COVID-19 still prevalent. The Pulse Oximetry app brings together all the features you need to effectively monitor respiratory conditions, with many more powerful features and functions to come.

The app is designed to help manage your respiratory health needs by providing easy to understand data visualizations and comprehensive reviews. Connect a compatible Bluetooth pulse oximeter of your choice[1]. The app supports 50 different pulse oximeter models with support for more in coming updates, including spot check only devices. Now, switching to a different pulse oximeter doesn't mean having to lose all your data when also having to switch to a different app. Switch between compatible pulse oximeters at anytime and all your data is kept in the same powerful app. You can even export your data to Apple's Health app[2].

Here are just some of the features the Pulse Oximetry app has to offer:
- A monitor view with all measured information in clear view
- Detailed line graph views for every measured parameter
- Alarm settings and indications that go beyond a simple tone
- Data recording for periods of 2 minutes up to 10 hours in 1 second intervals
- Select a light or dark theme color for the app
- Customizable date/time formats for compatibility with international standards
- Connect to Apple’s Health app[2]
- Detailed history and reviews of recordings and spot checks
- Flag important measurements for future reference
- Custom history date range to focus on the data of interest

To review all the features and functions available go to:
www.appinlights.com/pulseoximetry/

[1] The app requires a compatible Bluetooth pulse oximeter to perform measurements. Bluetooth pulse oximeters are sold separately. For a complete list of supported devices go to https://www.appinlights.com/pulseoximetry/supported-devices.html

[2] The app supports exporting SpO2, heart rate, perfusion index and respiratory rate to Apple’s Health app. Not all pulse oximeters measure perfusion index and respiratory rate. Please check your device's literature for supported parameters.

**Note: The app can be installed on 3rd Generation and newer iPads, but because the screens of these devices have a 4:3 aspect ratio, as opposed to a 16:9 aspect ratio of compatible devices, the app is not guaranteed to look or function correctly on iPads.

What’s New

Version 1.19

- Fixed an issue that caused the app the "freeze" when switching in and out of the settings tab.
- Updated the minimum deployment version to iOS 16. iOS 16 is now the minimum required version to run on an iPhone.
- Other bug fixes and updates.

Not compatible with any real pulse oximeters

This is ONLY compatible with the little finger ones, not a real one. I have a massimo rad 97, very common one to have, with Bluetooth enabled, and the app doesn’t give that as an option. Waste of money!!!!!

Developer Response ,

Thanks for your feedback. While the Masimo Rad-97 does have Bluetooth connectivity it is not used to transfer data from the Rad-97 to a mobile or other data reception device. It's only used to receive Bluetooth data from compatible devices, such as thermometers, glucometers, and weight scales, so that this data can be transferred to connected upstream systems, like Masimo's Patient SafetyNet.

This app does exactly what I needed. It traces and displays my data and without a need to create an account. My medical information is safe with this app!!

Not as advertised

Cannot use iPhone to get O2 level. There is no option to select phone as device, only external 3rd party meters. Not at all what I wanted and paid $3.99 on App Store. Looks like no way to get refund. Not pleased at all.

Developer Response ,

Thank you for your feedback. Please note that the app description clearly states that a compatible Bluetooth pulse oximeter is required to use this app. Having said that, the description will be updated with the next version release to clearly indicate that the mobile device's camera is not supported to take measurements.
Also, please contact Apple support for a full refund. This is so that they can also remove the app from your app locker to prevent further downloads.
Thank you again.
