Surprisingly good!

I was looking for a basic invoice maker with no monthly charge. This app caught my eye immediately. I first downloaded it on my Mac, tested it, then downloaded it on my iPhone. Both the desktop and iOS apps sync with the one-time fee pro version of this app, which is nice. You can even use it for multiple businesses while keeping everything separate and nicely organized. My two complaints: First, there is no way to change the date format. In the US, we use MM/DD/YYYY, however, the only option which appears on the invoices is the reverse DD/MM/YYYY. This will be confusing for Americans. Second, there are only 4 invoice template designs. Design number 2 is my favorite, but aside from that the other 3 options are bland and not very appealing. Hopefully more options will be added. Aside from those two things, it’s truly a near perfect invoice app!

Thanks for your very positive review and your feedback! Much appreciated. The date format depends on the "Region" set in the "invoice types" and it can be changed. Most likely you are not using "US" there right now.I am open to adding more PDF templates, as long as it differs enough from the existing ones. Feel free to send me an example file and I'll have a look

This app simplified the process of getting paid for the work that I do. I would love to see more options for customizing my invoice - the available layouts are rather limited in my humble opinion, and the options (listed under "invoice types", where you can choose items to display on your invoice) are still very confusing for me, despite having played around with them quite a bit and reading the available help pages. For example, I would love to include my total number of hours worked at the bottom of the invoice next to my total wages, but I haven't figured out a way to do that yet. On the "invoice types" page, there's an option to include tax, which I don't need because I pay taxes separately, I'd love to be able to change that to "total hours worked" or something that would better fit my needs. Despite these suggestions, Subtotal is still a great app and very helpful!! Thank you for creating it.

I was looking around for months to find an easy to use and affordable time tracking and invoicing solution. I purchased this one and the WorkingHours to go with it. Previously I had troubles with accurate time recording, task tracking, and invoicing. Now it is really easy, as an invoice is simply one click away. There was a minor bug with a recent update. I contacted Timo, and he responded right away, and fixed it! You can't go wrong with SubTotal and WorkingHours! I liked them so much, I also purchased Diarium and AtomicClock...keep up the great work.
