**ExpSAFE Blast Calculator Pro** is a ‘Level 1’ mobile engineering tool designed to facilitate blast wave assessments in support of rapid safety assessments. The tool predicts blast effects resulting from explosions. Overpressure calculations were formally validated against US Army Technical Manual 5-855-1 ‘Fundamentals for protective design for conventional weapons’ (CONWEP). Note that CONWEP is an unclassified international recognised modelling tool for calculating explosion effects and is widely utilised within the explosive safety community. The primary reference source for the formulae utilised in this application was the International Ammunition Technical Guides (IATG) 01.80: Formulae for Ammunition Management (with UNODA permission). It is noteworthy that the UNODA project ‘UN SaferGuard’ has made significant contributions to the field of ammunition safety. Their website serves as an excellent resource for technical information, offering a comprehensive range of complimentary online tools. The site introduces and summarises scientifically proven and sound formulae that can support decision-making and risk management processes. FEATURES OF THIS VERSION This professional edition provides the following functionality: * Determine blast effective yield based on Net Explosive Quantity and TNT equivalence. * View predicted hemisphere blast wave characteristics. * Provide summary of potential damage and injury probabilities (indoors and outdoors) based on ‘probit’ functions. * Display open source injury and damage thresholds distances linked to air blast overpressure. * View selected injury or damage circles around user coordinates for a potential explosive site linked to Apple Maps imagery. * Layer3Services ExploSim Receiver threshold distances. * Low Level Blast assessments (open and confined) environments. * Toggle between imperial and metric units for input parameters.
