I am loving the content in this app. There is so much great information in here! If you are learning how to surf, or just want to improve your knowledge of the mechanics of surfing, this app is a much have. That being said, the app itself needs some refining. The most annoying thing for me as an iPad user is that there is no screen rotation. It is locked in portrait mode and will only go into landscape mode on videos. Would love to be able to read the content in the app in landscape mode. There are also issues if I background the app for a long period and come back. If I’m still in a tutorial, there are issues with the video loading. The loading of the content, and marking slides as watched, in the app is pretty slow too. It’s janky and a little annoying. I maybe nitpicking here but I would totally give this app 5 star rating if they improved the user experience. I still would highly recommend it.

Sign up on website. Then…There isn’t a better app in terms of detailed, technical description of all different levels. Super helpful, and they are a small group currently so they really provide customer Service because they care about their brand and customer experience.

I learned how to surf when I was young, but I was never taught the fundamentals. This app is incredibly helpful in learning, or re-learning the technicalities of surfing. The app also supports a range of experience. The surf camp is also an awesome trip, the team is not only professional, but they integrate the local community. Highly recommend both.

I reference this app every week as I aim to progress my surfing. The content is organized, clear, and well designed; the courses ensure I’m thinking about specific areas of improvement when I’m out in the water. Highly recommend Barefoot as a resource
