Navi adds subtitles and live translation to your conversations! Talk with the people around you, and see exactly what they're saying overlaid on top of the real world. Connect directly to other devices running Navi around you and your captions will appear on their devices instantly. Live translation Navi can translate incoming subtitles from a different language into your own and even speak out the translation in your own language, so you can have an easier conversation with people who speak a different language. Both devices will need an active subscription to use the translation feature. It is free to use without translation, and you can enable unlimited translation with a monthly subscription. The app is especially useful for people who are Hard-of-Hearing or deaf, and it can hopefully make conversations easier for you in your life. There’s a lot of potential

It’s a little buggy right now, but there’s a lot of potential. It’s a pity that you require one iOS device for each person that you’re translating however, this is a game changer for people with hearing disability.

App doesn’t connect to my phone or iPad

I’ve gone through everything. I’ve deleted the app and have reinstalled it multiple times. On my iPad it pops up act like it’s gonna work and then cancels back out and disappears. I have also restarted my phone checked all settings in the app and it still says checking for “ connect device searching. I’ve even gone online to try to find videos of showing a complete walk-through of how to connect to Navi app but There is no such video out there. I would highly recommend making a video from downloading the app, connecting your phone and making the FaceTime call.

It was very hit or miss today. My girlfriend is Colombian and thought this would be easier for her, she sometimes needs to use more complex Spanish that I don’t know yet. The translation would just pause and sometimes just plain stop working. We would have to keep resetting the app to get it to work for only a few minutes. I’ll keep it for now and update rating if they can smooth things out.

The interface is a little weird as it only shows one line of text at a time and only picks up my voice instead of the other person who I’m FaceTiming with. Which is why I wanted this app to be able to see what the other person is saying. Maybe add more of a better subtitle format and make it so my voice isn’t picked up only the recipients voice.

Hi, that's not what's supposed to happen! It should be fixed in the latest version of the app if both people are running that version. Would love to hear back from you how it's working now. Jordi
