EDIT: Please please pleaseeeee make an option to pause your workout and resume later. I can pause it, but if i exit the app for longer than a minute or two, it resets and I lose all of my progress for the day which is extremely discouraging! I will say this doesn’t happen EVERY time, but it does happen every time if I leave the app for longer than 5 minutes. Sometimes things come up and I can’t finish the workout at the very moment, but I would really like to be able to come back and finish it when time allows. Thank you! I used to be very small and fit until about 7 or 8 months ago when I had my appendix removed, the recovery really set me back and I gained a lot of weight and also lost a lot of strength. This app is helping me gain that strength again while also losing a bit of weight. I don’t weigh myself because the numbers get to my head, so I’m going solely based off of how I feel and look. And after 2 and a half weeks I have to say I feel really good! The workouts are simple, but definitely get harder by the second and third week as the routines are longer, and you can easily add things like weight or a resistance band to make them more intense (I do this for almost all of the arm workouts by adding 5 lb weights and can actually feel the muscles in my arms now whereas before, I would flex and literally nothing would change in my arm!) Sometimes if a move is too simple, I just entirely change it and do something different for those 30/45 seconds. I also have been eating a little bit less as well as healthier foods, which is something I find necessary to lose weight. Although I do wish some of the moves were more intense, this app has really helped me start my fitness journey again and I can feel my strength building.

I’ve been using this app when I’m stuck in the apartment to sneak in some workouts. I feel a sweat and I like that it’s presented in a very clean, minimalist way. It’s also really helpful or visually very pleasing to me the way the exercises are counted down. I finish every workout, I’m motivated, and I can see I’m getting more toned. It feels like my workout plans are formulated with thought, and I appreciate that a lot, especially with arthritic joints and hyper mobility. I have options to control my workouts, skipping things that are uncomfortable and more. Buttttt there are some glitches with balancing exercises. I’ve had quite a few workouts where I will only do the exercise on one side. Likewise, I think most users would benefit from some voiced instructions. Example: pull in your ab muscles during a twist, keep legs shoulder width apart, etc. Some exercises could hurt you, and there are no alternatives or modified easy versions. And finally, the price…it’s pretty expensive for what is essentially a spaced timer. There haven’t been any changes to the app that I’ve observed, there’s no weight loss calculator or goal features. I like that it tells me my caloric total for all time, but I think for the price, it needs something extra to explore. I like feeling like I have total control over my workout and the pacing, but I probably will not renew unless the price drops, especially considering there are a lot of free alternatives

The Apple Store reviews gave close to 5 stars and the advertisement was intriguing, so I downloaded the app without looking into it further. After I filled out the initial survey, the app started promising I could meet my goals in 27 days. This felt “off” and prompted me to Google the app to see if I could find information about it outside of the Apple Store. I found that multiple people had signed up for the “free trial” and were charged for months, even though the subscription was cancelled and the app deleted. They reported they were ignored or given a run around by the company when they attempted to have the situation rectified. I also saw reviews commenting on notifications from their phones about passwords being compromised after downloading the app. The app as advertised seems intriguing, but I value authenticity in advertising, ethical business practices, and responsive customer service. As much as I would like a service to guide me through low-impact workouts, neither of these concerns (unauthorized changes or password mining) seem worth the risk or hassle. I have deleted the app and contacted my credit card company to let them know that any charge from Just Fit is unauthorized. Furthermore, I am not interested in a slick but empty response to my review from the company claiming that ethical business practices are extremely important to them. I see this as an attempt to manage image if it is not mirrored in actual practice and therefore an extension of the original issues.

I hate when people ask me “does this work” when I’m trying a new workout thing. Anything that gets you motivated and moving works! That said, I’m 3 days into this and I am SORE. I’m glad to learn some new exercises but it’d be great to also list if you have issues in more than one area! For example, my rotator cuff was injured two years ago when I was lifting weights and isn’t quite the same, but I also have issues with my hips from falling off of a horse. It’d be nice to not have to pick one or the other, and it’d also be nice to say “hey my legs can barely move, how about we swap the squats for something else today?”Update: as I’ve gotten further, I’ve found an issue that lowers my rating. I have a pretty limited schedule and I have mine set to 15-20 minutes of exercise as that’s the best I can do daily. Well, despite that, my workout still took 40 minutes this morning. Good thing I can just cut out some of my morning but that’s not ideal. I’d also like to be able to add more activities - I ride horses and can easily burn 400 calories on a longer day. But there’s no option for that anywhere! And no way that I can see to submit said feedback. Not sure I’m going to continue after the 28 days; it started out strong but these two things have me unsold
