The Immerse app guides highly motivated language learners through the process of culture and language acquisition in an immersive context. This app provides instructions and tools that help users gather and review increasing complex, culturally informed language samples. The current version of Immerse takes learners from their initial forays into their target language to an intermediate level of language proficiency. Developed by a group of dedicated language learners in unique language contexts, Immerse helps make learning any language on earth an achievable task. Immerse is mainly for language learners following the Becoming Equipped to Communicate (BEC) curriculum for CLA. This app requires a paid subscription. This subscription allows you to: * Receive guided instructions from the first day of language learning. * Upload your own photos to facilitate learning with a language helper. * Record your language helpers with recordings attached to your photos. * Review your recordings during self-study. * Prepare for deeper levels of language learning by capturing photos and notes from daily life. I really do love this app. It has been so helpful for learning a language. It has made learning a bit more fun, especially since I can easily add funny gifs to learn verbs. It’s really customizable to what you want to learn while also adding structure for what topics you should try to learn. I love how easy it is to input pictures of words I want to learn. I also enjoy that when I find something interesting about the culture, I can take a quick photo within the app and ask my local friend about to tell me the name for it later. I really appreciate how easy it is to keep track of the various review steps I’ve completed for each new word, as well as how quick it is to mark whether my transcription has been checked/corrected. So helpful.I also love how easy syncing across devices is. I’ve had problems/concerns syncing other apps across my iPad and my iPhone, fearing that data would be incorrectly written over. But this app does a phenomenal job of not losing my data, my recordings, my photos. I would highly recommend giving this app a try!

The Older Learner
This is a fantastic app. I never thought I could learn another language, especially at my age. Spanish was my worst subject in school. This tool has allowed me to learn way more in 1.5 years than 3 years of HS Spanish.
