Motivational Interviewing
Free · Designed for iPad
VMI is a motivational interviewing application designed to provide practice for social workers engaging with caregivers and families in child welfare. Social workers can practice and learn motivational interviewing techniques to help them engage and interact in a way that promotes behavior change. In the app, you can progress through learning modules to practice these techniques during a multitude of professionally constructed scenarios. As your skills develop, you can receive experience, expert feedback, and the opportunity to tackle new and more complex interactions. Through the use of this motivational interviewing approach, social workers will have opportunities to participate in the skills practice necessary to effectively engage with the families they serve.
