The Ancient Games collection aims to resurrect them as a meticulously crafted mix between what a player wants from an historical game and what he/she expects of a modern application. Features : -Play against the IA, friends and random players from around the world (Coming back soon) -Play Online & Offline. -Multiple collectibles : boards, game pieces, dice, nameplates, etc. -Challenges (Fun rule variants) -Free cloudsave across the collection : your progress in one game is available in all the others. -Much more features to come! Currently, the collection is comprised of four games : the Royal Game of Ur, Senet, XII Scripta and Puluc, but 40 games are in the works! Occasionally I find a game that is exactly what wanted - this one exceeded my expectations! ❤️ I’ve played all 3 games and love them all! The developer, Sullivan, has given painstaking attention to details with the graphics, the animations, and the explanations, as well as the math behind the dice. Sometimes the dice are my BFFs, sometimes the are my enemies, but they roll accurately! On top of all of this, I love knowing that I am playing games that actually existed hundreds of years ago!

Thanks for the great review :) I try to give those ancient games the justice they deserve and bring them into the 21st century without loosing what made them great. Puluc, the fourth game, is coming soon !

I love the simplicity and animation style of this game. And I have a fascination with old games and I like the way in which this teaches you.Things I wish it had: Rankings or Keeping score - I wish there were stats to look at like keeping track of my wins and losses etc especially right after the game vs the plain “game over” screen. Seems a little anticlimactic and jarring.Only other thing is I’m experiencing a bug which doesn’t allow me to play sciptia and even though I bought the best version of the game it still insists on giving me ads for some.

Hi,Thanks for the kind words. The latest update adds a Profile page where you can see you wins/losses/points among other things. I'll try to improve the game over screen when I can.It also adds a fourth game: Puluc.Regarding your issues, for XII Scripta, if you can't start the game because of stuck on the Vs screen, try changing your board, pawns, nameplates and dice. It helped a few players with that mysterious issue. Otherwise, send me an email with details on the issue.For the ads, I made it clearer in the latest update : they are game specific so if you purchase Senet Mortal/Heroic/Divine Edition, you will no longer have ads in Senet but still do in Ur, XII and now Puluc. That's because this app is a portal containing all my games for convenience, but they remain individual games :)

I love the simplicity and animation style of this game. 5 stars for reviving ancient games but -2 stars for non-random throws of the dice and for the use of the number zero for societies that didn’t know it existed. The most frustrating part of this game is when you’ll have your final piece one move away but then the game decides you’ve won too many times and it will never let you roll the number you need while let the PC player run a series of moves that lets it win.The game needs to use actual random dice and remove the number 0.

The dice is not cheating (I have no reason to cheat : more complex to make and happy players are more likely to make purchases). You can go to the Options menu and you'll see 3 dice methods I added. The dice code has no idea what the state of the board is like so it cannot influence the game.About the zero, while it is true that the Sumerians didn't know about zero, the dice "zero" is not the arithmetic zero, it just means you don't play this turn. Like all the things in my games, it is fully customizable so if you don't want the zero, you can go to the Rules menu and modify this rule :)I hope my answer was satisfactory, if not, reach out.
