This Kumeyaay Language app project was initiated by the Kumeyaay Language Consortium. We hope you will enjoy using this app to learn the Kumeyaay language. This app consists of the following: -Recordings of Native Kumeyaay speakers -Games and quizzes -A Search section -Culture Notes, images, and videos The mission statement of the Kumeyaay Language Consortium is to “preserve and restore the Kumeyaay Language by recording, archiving and promoting the use of the Kumeyaay language in our communities.” This app is one means to accomplish this. The project was funded by the Viejas Band of Kumeyaay Indians and gifts the app to the Kumeyaay Nation. We hope you will enjoy using this app to learn the Kumeyaay language, culture, and history.
