All 43,919 probably asked a similar question as our fictitious student above. Many of those almost 44,000 applicants probably arbitrarily picked 30 as the score to get. But what is the score that YOU need? Unfortunately, nobody knows that. Because the MCAT is only one part of a complete med school application, having a specific score is not guaranteed to be accepted into medical school. The MCAT was designed to account for item difficulty to better estimate your "true mastery" of the tested material. Specifically, you will receive more "mastery points" if you answer difficult questions correctly vs. easier questions. Conversely, you will be more harshly punished for missing easier questions relative to more difficult ones. This app has been updated to the latest 2026 guidelines. MCAT® is a registered trademark of the Medical College Admission Test, which is unaffiliated, not a sponsor, or associated with Ultraprep. Preparing for your MCAT test can be tough, but it's not impossible with one of the best study apps around. Beware: Not Blueprint affiliated, scam

I need my money back and my subscription canceled. Since there’s no way to cancel it in the app, I’m posting this publicly here while I try to ask my bank or Apple or something to cancel these payments.Here’s why: It’s not affiliated with Blueprint, the actual mcat prep company, because it links to some “Ultraprep” website (which has nothing on it, by the way) instead. More importantly, there’s no way to cancel the subscription to this app that I have now. I scanned my thumbprint too fast and subscribed because I was thinking it was the Blueprint company, which I wanted to subscribe to for at least a free trial. But I never made a Blueprint account through this app or had a chance to log in to an actual Blueprint account in this app, and the materials it offers are not Blueprint’s. Also, of course the Ultraprep website has no login function anywhere so it’s not like I can go login on a laptop and cancel the subscription. (Even if it did, I’d have no way to log in because I never made any credentials for Ultraprep either!)it definitely looks like Ultraprep is either a scam or some lesser known and dishonest prep company conveniently choosing the “Blueprint” name for their app to bait people and then not letting them cancel.
