I really like Trainz: A New Era, so I decided to spend the considerable amount to purchase the 2022 simulator. It promised M1 support, so I expected it would run a bit better than T:ANE. But so far, I haven't noticed a lot of difference between the two. At first I couldn't even get the app to function. It was stuck on the menu screen. A restart seemed to fix the problem. Running at 1080p and 60 fps, there's some stuttering and a bit of lag when rendering graphics. I expected better. I like the new interface, though. Hopefully N3V will make improvements to the graphics over time.

This should come with a warning that you’re not actually buying a game, but a content manager for payware. I really wish I hadn’t bought this. There’s virtually nothing included with the game. Just a handful of things to do with the game as it comes. Then they want you to buy “subscriptions” at $129 a year to get more content to be able to actually do anything with the game. Once you finally find out you can download free content you’ll then discover that they throttle your download speed to a few KB/sec so it will take half a year to download a route. Unless, of course, you pay for the $120 a year “subscription” which will lift the download limitations. This has to be one of the most frustrating, disappointing things I’ve ever bought. Strongly considering going for a refund. OH, another thing, if you buy this through the Apple App Store, you’ll also discover that you need a serial number to be able to download some of the “extra” content on their download store. In other words, not only are you paying for a basically worthless “game,” you won’t even have the serial number to be able to download content. This whole thing is super scammy. Big regret. Worthless game/app. If they’re going to charge you extra for absolutely EVERYTHING, then this game engine should be free to download. They trick you into paying $40 for a “game” that is unusable without spending hundreds of dollars more. No warning that this is the case.

This game is amazing. It has tons of options and settings. The graphics are gorgeous. The software designer has left us with a unique way of playing a game. It has so many things that is difficult to figure them all. I should read the manual online because i still can’t figure out on a route how to make the red stop light to turn green in various places along the route. Thank you very much for this.

The game can run great on high graphics on my mac. But downloading stuff on the game takes a long time. Great game, great graphics, great routs such as West from Denver. thanks N3V games for relesing this game
