Is much more than a boating insurance company and as such, this mobile app is much more than a boating insurance mobile app. Ahoy!’s app offers boaters multiple features that will help them stay out of harm's way and in the unfortunate case of an incident to get back on the water with a breeze.
These features include, between others, the following:
• Self Inspection - by easily following the built-in guided process, you’ll be able to quickly get us familiar with your boat so in case of need, we’ll be able to provide you a claim report or police report if needed and handle your claim quickly and efficiently.
• Cell phone overboard coverage - By granting us your cell phone location permissions, we will be able to automatically detect when you're over the water. In case of your phone falling overboard, we’ll have you covered and pay for a new one. Our algorithm is using Geo-Fence technology so we won’t be tracking your exact location while on dry land and it is very efficient so we won't deplete your battery.
• Weather forecast and alerts – wherever you are, and whatever you do, sailing or at home/work, we follow the weather where your boat is, allow you to watch the weather forecast and send you alerts about imminent weather threats
