It relies on pressure and video data to analyze your motion along key metrics. Based on your scoring in these metrics, BAL.ON’s AI coaching recommends the one individual drill to fix your swing. It compares both with thousands of reference data, many of them from pros. Out of this, BAL.ON spots your chance for improvement. Relying on swing metrics and AI, you get customized drills that help you swing faster and hit longer shots. Take apart your swing, then your opponent BAL.ON rates your swing along three basic metrics: Setup, Backswing, and Impact. Mastering these swing key positions improves your ball-striking quality and consistency. The advanced metrics are Transition Timing, Vertical Timing, Max Vertical, and Rhythm. Understanding and perfecting the timing minutiae within your weight shift gives you the extra momentum for clubhead speed and ultimately shot length. I’m not great at golf and even worse about you figuring out what’s going wrong in my swing. This helped me develop a more consistent swing and at least showed me the areas of my game that I need to work on. Still at work in progress, but I’m getting better.

Terrible app and optimization

App runs incredibly hot. There should absolutely be no reason for an iPhone 17 Pro to run scorching hot white under normal use of the app. Sure, i can understand if workloads when ‘analyzing’ swing causes device to heatup while running pose detection, but in what scenario does the app causes the device to overheat when only displaying the live heatmap. The app is only getting data from the bluetooth devices and displaying on screen. Running no inferences with ML workflows. Hypothetically if the app gets data at 60hz, should barely make a dent on cpu usage rerendering the frames. Typical AI slop, no matter how great the actual hardware is, without good software, it is unusable. And to make matters worse, what should be included features are blocked behind paywall after paying hundreds for the device. Either fix your app or open source the api connection to the device.
