En 1998, el primer periódico en español de el noroeste de Arkansas, La Prensa, fue creado para proporcionar a la comunidad Hispana del Noroeste de Arkansas una voz y una fuente de noticias relevantes. En 2009, La Prensa se unió con el periódico Noticias Libres, formando La Prensa Libre. Hoy, el compromiso continúa para que La Prensa Libre sea la mejor fuente de noticias en español en el Noroeste de Arkansas, River Valley, y Suroeste Missouri.
