I have used this app a few times now, but my first experience I wanted to mention in case it happens to anyone else. Make sure before you begin the study that you have sufficient phone storage on your phone. This app requires you view several images & they must require a certain storage to view them. I did the studyThe first time at the last minute . And I suddenly was just thrown out, didnt know why, but knew I had read somewhere that you needed sufficient found space so I deleted as many videos and app quickly went back into the study, and it started me off at the beginning, which was very disappointing as I was almost finished, and I was very stressed I just went ahead and started it again and completed it and just the nick of time as I only had 13 minutes to spare and I was able to complete and get payment. I haven’t had as much trouble after the first time knowing this, but if for any reason you interrupt the study, you can start over if you still have time, but that’s just it if anything interrupted it you have to completely start over. So just make sure that you have a quiet space and no interruptions and space on your phone before you do this. Other than that, if your interested in knowing exactly what the purpose of this is I asked ChatGPT and it was very helpful in explaining the purposes of this study and especially have you been asked to return to do it more than once the payment has been always been prompt. I had to wait one time but you will get paid. Usually I get paid right after I complete.

I recently took part in a research study using the Senseye app, which measures subtle eye and nervous system responses to understand mental and emotional symptoms. The concept is really promising — instead of relying on self-reporting or mood journals, it uses the body’s natural reactions, which could be especially helpful for people like me with ADHD and autism, who may struggle to identify or communicate internal states in the moment.The app itself was easy to use, and the sessions were quick, which made it simple to stay consistent. I didn’t receive personal results during this phase, so I can’t speak to accuracy yet, but I understand this stage was focused on data collection and refining the technology. I would definitely be interested in participating again, especially in future studies that share individual insights.Overall, I think Senseye has real potential as a supportive tool for mental health, and I look forward to seeing how it develops.

This app is atrocious . The first time I did the test I had to back out of the app 2x because it froze before I could get all the way through it , which I had to do twice because the second time it froze I was 20mins in and had to start from the beginning. This time I’ve spent 40 mins and 20 attempts , trying to get this app to work . First it was “too dark” error even though I sitting directly under a ceiling recessed light, there’s no darkness in the room at all . Then once it finally let me get past the first two facial scans I got to the third right before the first task and it wouldn’t turn the camera on . I was looking at the facial outline with it telling me “not centered” but there was no image so I could correct it and align . After restarting the app a dozen times and deleting it and redownloading, it finally populated but then the final problem came . It let me get past that scan and was supposed to start the first task and it won’t show up . Like at all . It’s just a blue screen . I let it sit there for almost 10 mins thinking well maybe it just needs to load . NOPE , just froze up . So I had to restart the whole process again , that happened 4 times so I came to the App Store to see if there were any update and there’s not. And that’s what prompted this review . The task is supposed to take 50 mins and I’ve spent almost the amount of time just trying to get the app to start and work right . Absolutely ridiculous. Terrible app in my opinion especially after tonight .

I didn’t have the experience that everyone else has been sharing in their 1 star reviews- I have done 2 rounds of projects with this company and as long as I get comfy and prepare everything (turn on do not disturb, plug my phone in) I can just run through it no problem. I was very fairly compensated. The tasks are boring, yes, but again, I’m getting compensated to do them, so that makes it fine in my eyes. I did not experience any eye strain, discomfort, or extreme fatigue like others have mentioned. I also got paid immediately after completing each session. Not sure why others are saying it’s a scam- if you have any issues with it I’m sure you can just contact the project manager to see what the issue was.
