Pretty good overall

Annoyed with Earnest App
The app functions well overall showing both consumption and production. Something that I dislike is the fact that production is only displayed on a monthly basis while consumption can be broken down by the hour, day, or week and I wish you could do this for production. I also wish there were an overlay to see production versus consumption on the same screen. Also, my billing period with the power company doesn’t fall on the first or end of the month so I wish you could align the production and consumption reading with your billing period.

Please ensure the next update breaks down production and usage into the same groups. Don’t play games like this so we have do make the effort to create a spreadsheet to compare 1:1. In fact you should have a third view that shows you variance via the same groupings. So we always know where we stand in comparison and you could even provide monthly reports so we can ensure we are getting the correct bill or refund payment from our utility company. Please make these updates a priority. It will be another great selling point for your sales reps.

I does seems pretty foolish to have the production and usage metrics in different time slices making it harder to do a comparison. Yes, I can do the math, but since my panels were turned on midday and mid month, it is cumbersome to compare.I also wasn’t sure if when I created a ticket in the app that it ever was received as I always had to follow up with a phone call.

Great Functioning App

With these new updates the app has improved so much. The project tracker made it easy to know what stage the project was currently sitting at and gave me peace of mind knowing it was moving forward. With the new production and usage graph I’m able to see what my solar system is producing and gives me a great visual of the system working properly. Happy to know Everlight is always improving their products for the end users. Happy to have gone with Everlight!
