Chores 4 Rewards is the modern version of the traditional paper chore chart. This parenting app is designed to work as a motivator to give kids routine and encourage them to complete household chores.

You can easily create chores, specify the recurrence of the chore and assign it to your kids. You can also create rewards and specify the number of coins required to purchase that reward.

You can download and use the Chores 4 Rewards parenting app for free but a subscription is required for the premium features.
Main features of Chores 4 Rewards:
• Add your children
Take or pick a photo to use as their profile photo. Alternatively, pick from the list of children/monster avatars to use instead.
• Add and assign chores to your children
Specify the recurrence of the chore and set the maximum number of coins available for completing the chore.
• Add shop rewards
Set the price and the maximum daily buying limit of the reward.
• Link devices
Children can access their accounts using the parent device or using their own compatible device. Parents can access the same account by simply signing in with the same account details.
• Push notifications
To keep you updated on completed chores and purchased rewards.
Children can access child mode using the parent’s device or by linking their own compatible device. Child mode is where children can mark chores as completed, buy rewards from the shop, and more.
Review mode is where you approve children’s completed chores and mark purchased rewards as received. Prior to approving a chore, you can reduce the number of coins to award and add feedback to the chore. Children can read the feedback after the chore has been approved.
Chores 4 Rewards Premium features:
•Behaviors & points system
With the behaviors & points system, you can create behaviors and specify how many happy/sad points each behavior is worth. Behaviors can be sent to children in review mode, which will then add the total number of points to their account.
• Games Section
Add at least 6 game prizes to enable the games section. Children can play fun logical games to win prizes that have been set by you. You can specify the number of happy points required for children to play the games.
• Special rewards
Send your children a special one-off reward in the form of 'scratch to reveal'. Enter the reward name, pick a photo or icon and optionally enter the reason for the reward. The next time your child enters child mode, a surprise reward will be waiting for them!
• Text to speech
Children can tap certain elements within child mode to have them read aloud. For example, children can tap on a chore to have the name of the chore read aloud.
• Detailed statistics
View weekly, monthly & yearly data displaying how many chores your children have completed and how many rewards they have purchased. See your children’s progress within a specified time range.

I like this app but I am unable to use the behavior portion, it just keeps “loading” but never populates. The chores that require a photo to be submitted for completion of a chore is not showing up to be reviewed for approval. So I am not sure how to fix that either. It would be 5 stars if those two things actually worked

Decent chores and rewards system

I’m lucky I downloaded this app when I did. Right before they required iOS 13 or later. I have an iPad mini 3 and it won’t do more than iOS 12. I actually downloaded the app and not 3 days later, the app was missing from the App Store and it wouldn’t load anymore. Right when my kids were getting used to it and excited for rewards. Thankfully it started working again and has been fine ever since. Overall, for my kids to have a chore list they can look at make sure they’ve done all their chores and keep track of their rewards has been great. I do wish like another review said that the kids could move between their own pages without needing a parent to unlock it. I also have my iPad on landscape mode attached to the wall and when accessing the kids pages, the top half of the page is taken up with their name, picture and rewards status along with what day of the week taking up another 1/3 of the page. I do wish all that other info was slightly smaller or that there was at least an option to change the size of them.I also wish the ability to schedule chores on the calendar could have a few more options like iCal has. I like that I can create any reward at any price range and the kids love being able to see how far away they from a reward.

Great potential

Simply design and functionality. Easy to make profiles and add chores. Rewards and shop are simple to setup and allows for customized options to motivate your child. We have this on the family tablet in the kitchen so all kids have easy access. My suggestions: - please allow children to go between their own accounts without needing the parent’s pin - add “as needed” option for recurrence (empty dishwasher for example only needs to be done when it’s clean on random days) - add more options for chore icons (and reward icons)- allow coins to be converted to dollars, or add dollar options/icon when creating chore - allow chores (and rewards) to be drag and drop rearranged (currently only have options to sort A-Z, Z-A, reward ascending, and reward descending). Drag/drop would allow me to order them chronologically as they are scheduled throughout the day/week.Overall I would recommend and will continue with this app a few more weeks. Look forward to the updates!
I'm having issues

The app itself is great and the chore and reward system works well. The issue is when I go to behaviors, special rewards, and game rewards, it will not load even though my internet is fine. It is also not letting me allow games. I would have reported this in app, but there is no way to do so. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is the issues I'm having, but if they're fixed, I'll change the review.
