The app got a UI refresh to make viewing your friend's weather more intuitive. This version also has better data safety so that your friend data won't be lost, as it was for some users during the update to iOS 17.

Minor bug fixes to clear your notification badge after receiving an alert.

Updated UI: - The Friend Info on the Home Screen has a new look, to communicate that the area is tappable. -- It has a Sky/Sunset background behind the temperature and weather condition to better illustrate that person's environment -- And if there is rain or snow in that person's area, you will see snow or rain effects in the background of that bit of information Other fixes: - Dark mode text issues in onboarding.

If you forgot to enable notification permissions when you first downloaded the app, there is now a prompt in the app to encourage you to enable them, so that you don't miss critical alerts about someone's weather.

Home Screen Widgets! • Long overdue, but you can now add a widget onto your home screen to see the weather of any of your friends. The window of color will reflect the person's sky for their time of day, and give you the hour of the day they're in. Alt. Icons for Subscribers • For anyone who subscribes, I've made icons to represent the tier you subscribe to, just for fun :)

New Stuff: - Weather Alert UI in the Home Screen and Friend Detail views Fixes: - Added more resiliency around your friend data, as some people experienced their friends being erased when weather updates had failed. Background stuff: - The app will be syncing its data with a remote server now, so that your data is recoverable in the case it's ever lost, AND so that this server can provide alerts for when your friends are experiencing severe or extreme weather events. The app was attempting to do this on its own before, and it wasn't reliable enough.

Fixes: - The app should now correctly send you a notification when a friend's weather forecast contains a weather alert, so that you can act on it. - The weather data in the Lock Screen widgets will now be more accurate, after fixing a data saving bug that occurred after weather updates.

Many many fixes: - Adding friends in Australia, and New Zealand no longer crashes the app! - Fix Celsius temperature formatting - Location auto-complete/suggestions now behave like you'd expect - Friend locations on map are now accurately placed - Force a consistent transparency of tab bar background so that the app looks the way it's supposed to. - Removed second “hope” from onboarding text - Adjust “Weather” attribute size - Make adjustments on font size of “Fair WEATHER* Friends” in onboarding for large text users - Fixed inconsistencies in ability to add friends from different screens - City suggestions adhere to dark mode when adding friends from Friends tab - Adjust size of "Close" button to exit adding friends flow from Home Screen to make it easier to tap - Post-subscription, the “Continue to App” button in onboarding is visible in Dark Mode New: - Tapping on a friends pin on the map will zoom you into their city. That's all it does for now.
