LOC (Label on a Cable) is a field tool for scanning, assigning and managing NFC cable tags. Identify any labelled cable or asset in seconds using your phone's built-in NFC or an external micro-sensys iID PENsolid PRO RFID pen.
Built for technicians and field teams:
- Scan: Tap a tag to instantly resolve its location and details.
- Assign: Link tags to locations and records in a few taps.
- Browse: Search and filter your full inventory of labelled cables and assets.
- Map: View tagged assets on a map to find what you need on site.
- Create: Add new records directly from the field.
- Offline mode: Keep working with no signal. Reads stay available and changes queue for automatic sync when you reconnect.

This update makes evidence capture more trustworthy and LOC details easier to read.
New:
Evidence forms can now include video fields alongside photos.
Photo and video evidence can be set to camera only, so proof is captured fresh on site instead of picked from the gallery.
Evidence can now require a recent tag scan and a GPS fix close to the LOC before it is recorded, so every submission is tied to the right cable at the right place.

This update redesigns the Evidence Form and makes the map and sign-in more reliable.
New:
Evidence Form redesigned as clear step-by-step sections, with drafts saved as you go, re-submit options for rejected evidence, and a submission history per LOC.
Evidence submissions now show the DevEUI the Compliance Reviewer read off the label.
The Browse tab now lists only assigned LOCs, while Assign keeps the unassigned ones, so each list shows exactly what you need.
New map view option: hide marker icons to show every LOC as a small status-colored dot, so a whole network reads at a glance.
Improved:
The map now opens where you left it instead of zooming out to the whole dataset.
The activity log now records which reader performed each scan.
Resetting a tag now checks your access before wiping it.
Fixed:
Random sign-outs: the app no longer loses a valid session after being relaunched in the background.

This update makes LOC faster and more reliable on iPhone.
Improved:
The map now stays smooth and responsive when you apply filters, even on sites with hundreds of LOCs. Pins draw progressively instead of freezing the screen.
Fixed:
Reinstalling the app no longer restores a broken, half signed-in session. After a fresh install you now start at the login screen.
Signing out fully clears recents, favourites and offline data, so accounts from different organisations never see each other's items.
Evidence photos show a loading animation while they download instead of a grey box.
The bottom bar on the LOC detail screen is now centred correctly at all text sizes and languages.
Creating a multi-LOC route now reports problems clearly, and is blocked with a clear message while offline.
