The app uses a water balance approach to track daily available soil moisture and provides irrigation recommendations via text message when the available soil moisture reaches close to the management allowable depletion. The app uses weather data (precipitation and reference evpotranspiration) data from the nearest Florida Automated Weather Network (FAWN) weather station.
