OptimalHR
Employee Self-Service App
Only for iPhone
Free
OptimalHR lets employees clock in/out, request time off, resolve attendance issues, and submit resignations. Line managers can view team statuses, track attendance in real time, and review or approve requests.
more APPROVALS
• New approval rules: when your company turns them on, long leave and requests from reserved departments go to a higher-level manager. The form shows who will approve and who is copied.
• When no approver can be found automatically, you pick one from a short list. Rostered staff on a long leave pick one Manager on Duty.
• New "CC'd to me" tab — see the requests you are copied on (view only).
• A Manager on Duty who is the only one on duty that day can submit their own request to their line manager.
• The line-manager "Approval reservation" screen is retired (HR now controls this in company settings).
MY TEAM
• My Team no longer includes you — the count, the list and the attendance groups leave the signed-in manager out.
• Someone who clocks out before their shift ends now shows under Clocked Out, not Clocked In.
ATTENDANCE ISSUES
• Missed clock-out requests let you pick First or Second Half, and "Affected Shift" shows which part of the day the fix covers.
• Approving a missed clock-out now settles the whole day.
• Late clock-in and early clock-out requests show your real punch times, and submitted ones appear as "Requested" on the Issue card.
• A late clock-in or early clock-out can now be resolved on a day whose missed clock-out was already resolved.
• A late clock-in or early clock-out within your company's grace time is no longer listed on the Issue tile.
• Managers see Late Clock-In and Early Clock-Out issues in a team member's Issue list (view only).
LEAVE
• Leave on a day you already clocked asks you to confirm before it converts the day.
• Office staff can request several dates in one leave request.
OVERTIME
• An overtime request that overlaps your planned work is refused.
SHIFT SWAP & SCHEDULE
• Shift swap no longer offers a colleague on the same shift on the same day, and such a swap is refused.
• Rostered staff no longer see Change Day Off; the app takes your schedule type from the server.

7.11.4 Jul 30
**Geofence enforcement for clock-in / clock-out**
- You'll now see a clear message when you try to clock in or out from outside your assigned work zone, including how far you are from the zone (e.g. "You're about 120m from HQ. Move closer to clock in").
- If your location can't share a distance, you'll be told you need to be inside your work zone to clock in/out.
- If your work location has no clock-in/clock-out zone configured yet, the app prompts you to contact HR to enable clocking from that location.
- Repeated attempts to clock in/out from outside the zone will be flagged to HR, and you'll be notified that this has happened.
- All new messages are localized in English and Khmer.
**Faster, smoother long lists (pagination)**
- Your requests lists now load in pages — the app fetches the first batch instantly and loads more as you scroll, so long histories no longer slow the screen down.
- The resignations list now uses the same pagination, keeping it quick to open and scroll even with many entries.
