I will not give a review of ‘ISAAC On The Go’ besides saying man do I miss Samsara and TRANSFLO after bashing them. As of ISAAC Connect, it seems to be location triggered when I complete a trip to a customer. So I just arrived to my delivery, I took my phone in to have the convenience of the delivery #’s needed and or reference #’s needed and it was just gone. So I had to carry in the tablet. So here you are carrying your giant tablet in when what’s on your phone would be perfectly suffice. Believe you me you’ll drop that tablet at some point. The app is not clean, now helpful at all anyways. We need our shipping and receiving info available at all times until we remove it and why must I take photos of my documents with some cumbersome big tablet, again rather than my cell phone. I regret my company even considered making the switch, I haven’t met one happy driver with it. Lots and lots of improvement needed yet. Oh and the logging part on the tablet, again I know it’s not the app…. Awful.

This system is, I cannot even comprehend why it works the way it works, I know it’s not just the system itself but my company too, for example the app for the phone doesn’t even have a notification system so when I’m off duty and the company has an issue goes straight to the system yet I never receive it when I’m on duty and when I am it’s to late… the inspection tab like seriously why do we have two separate inspections one in the dash board and below logbook? I have to go to the main menu hit post/pre trip manually put it in when there’s an inspection tab that all of post and pre can fit into what should happen is when you hit inspection the left side should refresh to “dashboard,messages, trips, pre/post

Whereas TransFlo Mobile uses your phone’s location sharing to determine if you’re moving, ISAAC Connect uses duty status data received from the ELD. Which means it sometimes takes upwards of 10 to 15 minutes to update, so you can’t use the app to read off your load info to shippers. Also, it counts Yard Move as “moving” so if you forget to end the YM exception when you go inside the shipping office, you will have to go back outside and change the duty status to use the app. Obvious fix for this is to take screenshots or write down the info the old fashioned way, but in comparison to the TransFlo Mobile app, it’s much less useful. ISAAC ELD is pretty good though.

System seems intuitive and the tiles are easy to figure out. The real issue is that it crashes and then there is no support available for the crash. The information given has no troubleshooting logic and even our carrier admins have no clue how to help us fix it. So now we’re left at the customer, empty, and with no way to pick up another load until the system decides to work again. I’ve just started and all this thing has done thus far is cost us time and money.
