utilizes a Foreground Location Service during active walk sessions. This is

Continuous Safety Monitoring: Allows owners to see their pet's live location
on a map, even if the walker’s phone is in their pocket or the screen is off.
Precise Route Mapping: Ensures accurate tracking of distance and route
without GPS interruptions.
User-Initiated Control: Tracking only begins when the walker manually taps
“Start Walk.” It does not run in the background unless a walk is active.
Total Transparency: A persistent notification remains visible to the walker
throughout the session, ensuring they are always aware that location data is
being shared.
Immediate Cessation: The service and location sharing stop immediately the
moment the walker taps “End Walk.”
We use these foreground capabilities strictly to prevent GPS signal loss that
occurs when an app is minimized, ensuring you never lose sight of what matters
most.
