The 2008 App Store classic is back. Roll five dice, fill your scorecard, and take on friends through Game Center. A free update for original Five Dice players.
Five Dice, one of the original App Store games from 2008, is back with a new look and a complete rebuild for iPhone and iPad.
The goal is simple: roll five dice and score as many points as you can. You get up to three rolls per turn. Hold the dice you want to keep, choose a spot on your scorecard, and see how high you can go.
Play the classic game
- Fill a full scorecard with three and four of a kind, full house, straights, Five Dice, and more.
- Roll across the table or keep the dice in place. You can also roll with a swipe.
- Pick up an unfinished game where you left off.
Keep track of your best games
Your scores and game stats are saved, with iCloud sync across your devices. Compare your best scores with friends and players around the world on Game Center's daily and 30-day leaderboards, and earn Game Center achievements, including streaks for playing on consecutive days.
Take on a High Score Challenge
On iOS 26 and later, challenge friends to a time-limited high-score game through Game Center. Each player takes their own turn at the scorecard, so you can play when it suits you.
Whether you played the original on an early iPhone or you're rolling for the first time, Five Dice is ready for another round.
Five Dice was one of my first App Store purchases in August 2008. I played regularly for almost 10 years. It’s one of those games that made me hesitate upgrading to a new iPhone because I knew eventually it wouldn’t work. It’s great to have a new version after 9 years. Time to go set a new high score!
Almost flawless...

Nice app, very well done. Three things would make it even better. The first two are game-play flaws, the last is just mildly annoying:1. If you've already filled "Five Dice" (yahtzee) with a zero, a roll of five of a kind should qualify for 25 points in Full House, but the game gives zero. 2. In the same situation, if you roll five of a kind on the first or second roll, but you have no way to get points with it (e.g. five 3's when all you need is 2's), the game doesn't allow you to discard all dice and throw the remaining roll(s).3. If you don't get a top 20 score (ie. virtually every game after you've played a couple hundred), the game says "Oops! You need to practice more." No, I don't think so. I played fine, I just didn't get lucky dice this time. Ironically, the more you play, the more likely it is you'll see this silly little message. How about "Nice Game!"... or maybe no message. As my grandmother would say, if you don't have something nice to say, just don't say anything at all. But on the whole I still like the game and would recommend it over other Yahtzee-like apps I sampled.
Best game on iPhone/iPod

I was obcessed with this game on the jailbroken phone. Now I love it even more. 4 dollars is too much compared with other games but is a great deal compared to the cost of a value meal.
Great Yahtzee-style game

Far better than the others I've found. Solid app, no ads.
