Hey Dev: I originally bought this game when it first came out. There was no info on where you could access the controls (if there were any) until you decided to add it later to your description. So because of this I left a bad reveiw because with no control options the game was sub-standard and probably the reason for some of the earlier bad reviews. So happened to come across this game again and noticed the updated description on where to find the controls for this game. Got this months ago.......meaning I was never able to PLAY it until you FINALLY had the forsight of adding control info to your description. Wonder how many other people have trashed this game thinking the way I did but have not come back here to see the updated control info. Because of this I give it 3 stars for all the time I was short-changed in playing time.......and your button controls STILL need tweaking.
Space Invaders - Price = Alien Attack

Space Invaders is sitting at the Itunes store for a whoppin' $5. It's glitchy, with akward controls. Many reviewers are saying it's not worth $5. One said it's worth about $1. Well, that person probably should've looked harder. Alien Attack is basically Space Invaders without the over-expensive price tag. It's near the same game with a nice variety of different ways to play. Don't like the motion controls? Switch to the arrows! Sick of tapping the screen? Just hit the back and it's all good. It's pretty much the exact same game with slightly modified graphics and nicer price tag. It's not the most fun in the world, but if you're a retro gamer and don't feel like paying $5, this is your game!
I love it!

For just $0.99, you can’t go wrong. This is one fun app. The game lets you configure it for use with the accelerometer tilt controls or buttons so you can take your pick. Controls are perfectly responsive. Being able to tap on the back to fire is just too cool! You need to configure these options from the Settings Applet as the game instructions tell you. The animation is smooth and the graphics and sounds are just great for this genre. I enjoy how the shields disintegrate when they are hit and the invaders cascade left and right just like they are supposed to. It was also a pleasant surprise to see something new, with the aliens whizzing by in round two. And a contest where you can win a t-shirt? This is awesome!!! It’s a great version of an old school classic. I’m blown away that I can get a game this good for the price. Kudos!
By far and away the best Alien shoot em' up game.

I am so glad I grabbed this game. Made me feel like I was 13 again. (minus the zits) Forget Atari with it's overpriced garbage. This is totally hot retro arcade action. Tap on the back of your iPhone firing works incredibly well. When you set this baby on rapid-fire w/tap on the back-firing it is one rad little time killer. ( Note -you have to go to your iPhones settings in order to change the settings for this game. There you will find a whole list of additional features. ) You can take out hundreds of aliens in minutes with this game. I really felt like I was defending the earth against a horrible invasion. And I was only standing in line at the bank. Hat's off to the developer. You have hit a home run on this one.
Thanks for playing Alien Attack!
New for v1.4 - Fixes an application crash that occurred after the the Alien Attack high score web server was upgraded on Feb 11, 2009. Minor update to game play: When the player is hit, the alien's missiles are disabled until the replacement player's ship appears again.
