7 new plants added: Aspen, Cottonwood, Daylily, Miners Lettuce, Prickly Pear Cactus, Serviceberry, Sunflower. This application is also free, with no ads, banners or nagware. The free version limits some of the information regarding most of the plants. A simple in-app purchase will unlock all the information. Existing application owners are grandfathered into the full version, and should not have to purchase in-app upgrades.

Fixed a bug where a couple plants would not open correctly (cactus being one). Complied for the latest OS version available. Updated the icon slightly.

Version 3.0 is written from the ground up. It is streamlined for the latest version of iOS.

It's now possible to remove favorites. The scientific name is now shown in the plant details (not just on the listing). "Parts Used" now populates correctly. Fixed a few minor layout issues. Modified descriptions in several reference videos. Changed the plant diagram link.

Added about 30 new plant photos, and a couple new plants. This version also fixes the Wikipedia link.

The plant details view is updated so its more friendly 4 and 4S phone layouts. Many plants now have more than 1 image, and you can swipe to see different images and zoom to each. Fixed the default zoom size on images. New content, edited content, and minor fixes.

A few minor fixes are included. One important one, was increasing the size of the iPhone screen on the plant detail for those on 4 and 4S devices. The iPhone 5 had enough vertical screen real-estate, but other devices it was too narrow. Some new content was added also. This will be a goal going forward to keep the app with rich information and features. We're working on getting some of the rare plant photos added, so stay tuned.

Digital Herbs, LLC, upgraded the iPlant wild plant field guide and reference to include a revised, improved list of North American edible, medicinal, and poisonous wild plants. The upgraded iPlant wild plant field guide and reference also contains: 1) improved wild plant reference and usage information from author, professor, and plant expert Brigitte Mars. 2) high resolution wild plant color photographs by renowned plant photographer Martin Wall. The upgraded reference also boasts an improved user interface (iPhone and iPad), as well as social functions that allow users to connect to our Facebook community and share photos of wild plants they discover in the field. New features also include a photo browse list, easier searching. New enhancements are forthcoming, stay tuned.

I've added a new and updated dataset, consistent with the latest sync. After you launch the application, if you are connected to the Internet, it will get the number of available updates and show this on the application icon, so you will know when to sync.

I think we've finally fixed the problems with syncing that some users were having. Also after syncing, the list is refreshed (for new thumbnail images). After you update the app, do a sync using the icon in the lower left in the app, the first sync might take a min or two, use a broadband connection.

You can now sync data and photos over the Internet (watch for fast and frequent updates to data and more photos and plants) Fixed a few performance issues. Better feedback after you've searched, so you know when to 'show all' again. **NOTE: After you get this version, you'll have to re-sync to get all the latest photos, which are not included with the iTunes version. Id suggest you connect via a wifi network, but will take about 1-2 min.
