theBible: Bible Study & Notes
Understand Scripture together
Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Start with a verse. Explore its meaning, save what you learn, and join a conversation rooted in Scripture.
Understand what you read. Keep what you learn. Return to Scripture with theBible.
READ AT YOUR PACE
Explore Bible translations, adjust the text to suit your eyes, and continue where you left off. Download available translations with an account so you can read them without an internet connection.
GO DEEPER INTO A PASSAGE
Select a verse to explore context, key words and cross-references. Optional AI assistance can explain a passage and help you ask follow-up questions in your chosen explanation language. AI can make mistakes: check important details against Scripture.
FIND THE PASSAGE YOU REMEMBER
Search for words and references, or choose AI Search to describe a passage in your own words. AI features require an account, permission to share the necessary input with our AI providers, and an available usage allowance.
KEEP YOUR INSIGHTS
Write and format notes, organize them into folders, and save passages to revisit. Build a collection of what matters to you, one reading at a time.
DISCUSS THE SCRIPTURE
Explore public conversations connected to a verse. Read before joining; sign in to ask a question, comment or react. Keep the passage close as the discussion develops. Responses depend on community participation.
MAKE ROOM FOR A REGULAR PRACTICE
Return to the daily verse, revisit your reading position and test what you remember with Scripture quizzes. Set a rhythm that fits your life.
Bible reading is available without an account. Some features require sign-in or an internet connection. Translation availability varies. Downloaded Bible text is available offline; AI and online community features are not.
