Love it, but…

I absolutely love this app and was happy to pay for it. Even compared to high-price accounting software, it’s great. The organization, reports and ease of use (such as adding transactions) is great. My biggest problem with it is that it does not have a desktop version which is a real deal-breaker for me. Please at least allow Apple Silicon macs to run the iPad version on desktop, which doesn’t even require more coding on your part. Dark mode would also be nice but less important.

Absolutely love this app. I am a very organized person and I find that tracking your money is extremely important. I log everything and the ability to run instant and custom-filtered reports at any time is amazing. The best way to track your funds!My only feature request would be the ability to change a groups display from currency to a regular number. So 5 instead of $5.00. I also use the app to track things that I collect and although the ‘money’ is not included in my total, it’s also not a number that represents money. Basically, I’m just using the app to track the number of items I have and just want a simple numeral

I honestly can’t give lower stars than this. The old version was amazing and it’s been very helpful to keep track of all my income and expense items. However, since I upgraded to a newer iPhone, I have not been able to transfer my old data from my old phone to the new phone. I paid for that old version. I reached out to the developer and he wasn’t able to help me retrieve the data in my new phone. So now I can only keep putting data in my old phone. I’m not sure if I should pay for the new version for my new phone, and it’s frustrating that I cannot keep track of my expenses and incomes in my new phone.

I use this to track my trip expenses. It makes expense reports a breeze. I often visit three or more countries during one trip and tracking all the currencies was a nightmare. Now it’s as simple as activating the currencies I’ll be using before the trip and logging everything as I go. Most taxis and small businesses in Latin America don’t take credit cards, so it was a constant struggle to track how much cash I was spending. I know I often under reported, leaving me paying those expenses out of pocket. Problem solved with CashTrails!
