What's new in 4.5.0: • A new tab overview — your tabs now appear as page previews with their titles underneath, and the tab you're on is highlighted. On iPad, more tabs fit on screen in every orientation. • Controls within reach — open a new tab, see how many tabs are open and go back to your page with the buttons at the bottom of the screen (along the top on iPad). • Search Tabs — find any open tab by its title or address. • Swipe a tab to the left to close it, or touch and hold it to copy its link or close the others. Arrange your tabs by title or website, or reopen a closed tab, from the tab count menu. • Faster and lighter — the tab overview opens instantly, scrolls smoothly with many tabs, and tab previews use far less memory. • Tabs you rearrange now keep their order after you quit the app.

What's new in 4.4.0: • A new look — a slimmer address bar and toolbar that stay out of the way while you read. Tap the shield for one menu with the page's full address (select it to copy), your privacy at a glance and every page action. • Your layout, your choice — you keep the layout you know, with the address on top and buttons below. Try Compact for one bar at the bottom, or Top for one bar at the top (Settings › Appearance › Toolbar Layout). • Tor from the page — turn Tor on or off from the shield menu, without a trip to Settings. Switching Tor or asking for a New Identity now closes your open tabs, so nothing carries over between connections. • Ad and tracker blocking ready out of the box — EasyList and EasyPrivacy now come with the app, so blocking works the moment you turn it on, even with Tor on. • Your settings stay yours — a Focus filter changes nothing unless you pick a profile for it, and if your Tor access ends, Tor stays on until you decide. • Stronger privacy — your PIN is required after Face ID or Touch ID settings change, copied links stay off your other devices, and old tab previews and sessions are cleaned up. • Hold Back or Forward to see where each page is — its address now appears under its title. • Fixes for rotating while typing, History search on iPad, Request Desktop Site, "Try Again" on error pages, the Favorites grid in landscape, pull to refresh, keyboard shortcuts on iPad and larger text sizes, plus VoiceOver and right-to-left improvements.

What's new in 4.3.0: • 11 new languages - iPrivateBrowser is now available in Bangla, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Slovenian, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu, for 50 languages in all • Permission prompts in your language - the system messages that ask for camera, microphone, Face ID, photo, motion and speech access are now translated • Latin American Spanish - devices set to Spanish (Latin America) now get Latin American wording instead of Spain Spanish

What's new in 4.2.1: • Full-screen video is fixed — the full-screen button in YouTube and other web video players did nothing, on every device. Videos now expand to fill the screen as expected • Videos play inside the page — video now plays in the page itself with the site's own controls, instead of switching straight to the system player the moment you press play

What's new in 4.2.0: • Fully translated in 38 languages - parts of the app previously fell back to English no matter which language you used. Every screen, alert, and VoiceOver label is now translated, with correct plural forms throughout • Crash fix - resolved a crash that could occur when a certificate warning was dismissed before you answered it • Readable at every text size -Settings values, toasts, the Tor connection panel, and the Tor startup screen no longer truncate or overlap at large accessibility text sizes • Better use of your screen - more tab columns in landscape on iPhone, a centered app-lock keypad on iPad, and a readable-width New Tab page on larger displays • Error pages fixed - the address bar now keeps the address that failed instead of showing "about:blank", and Reload retries the right page • Custom User Agent now applies - the setting was saved but never sent; it takes effect immediately • Pop-up blocking no longer breaks links - links that open in a new tab work again, while genuine pop-ups stay blocked • Stronger protection at rest - tab thumbnails, history timestamps, and cached search suggestions are now encrypted, and the app no longer replaces your encryption key when the device is locked, so your data survives a locked launch • Tougher app lock - the failed-PIN lockout is anchored to a tamper-resistant clock, so changing the device date can't shorten it, and removing your device passcode no longer silently disables the lock • Tor privacy fixes - camera and microphone requests are denied outright while Tor is on, and Focus filters can no longer turn Tor off without authentication

What's new in 4.1.0: • Siri Shortcuts & Focus filters — open a private tab, toggle Tor, or clear all browsing data by voice or automation, and match a privacy profile to your Work, Personal, and Sleep Focus modes • Stronger app lock — PIN protection now uses salted PBKDF2 only, with the legacy hashing path removed for tougher brute-force resistance • Tor-aware handoffs — "Open in Safari" and the in-app contact form no longer leak your real connection while Tor is on, and warn before sending a page or .onion address elsewhere • Encrypted open tabs — your open-tab state is now sealed at rest, right alongside history and bookmarks • Tougher panic wipe — clearing your data destroys every key, cache, cookie, screenshot, and the Tor directory in a single pass that can't be undone • Broader VoiceOver support — spoken PIN entry, toolbar long-press actions, and fully localized Tor connection messages • Stability fixes — resolved rare crashes involving search suggestions, camera- and microphone-capable sites, and Tor startup

What's new in 4.0.3: • Encrypted history at rest — your browsing history is now sealed with a Keychain-bound key, defeating offline recovery • Excluded from iCloud Backup by default — bookmarks, history, and tabs stay on this device (toggle available in Settings) • Quick Actions — long-press the app icon for New Tab, New Tor Tab, or Bookmarks • Privacy hardening — sends the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal and disables WebGPU fingerprinting • Full accessibility support for Reduce Motion, Reduce Transparency, and Increase Contrast • Real EasyList bundled — 50,000 ad and tracker rules built in for instant protection on first launch • Faster saves — history, bookmarks, and tab state encode off the main thread for smoother browsing • VoiceOver labels now localized across all 38 supported languages

What's new in 4.0.2: • New Appearance setting — choose Light, Dark, or follow your system theme • History is now grouped by Today, Yesterday, This Week, This Month, and Older • Bookmarks improvements — Favorites, context menus, and inline editing • Web page context menus — Open in New Tab, Copy Link, and Share Link • Clearer error pages and SSL certificate warnings • Tor circuit info enhancements • Performance, stability, and accessibility improvements

What's new in 4.0.1: • New app icon with dark and light variants • Toolbar icons now adapt to page content — automatically switches to light icons on dark backgrounds for better visibility • Improved color contrast detection with hysteresis to prevent flickering • Bug fixes and stability improvements

What's new in this release: • Completely redesigned welcome experience with animated feature highlights • Tor integration with trial and one-time purchase • Built-in ad and tracker blocking powered by EasyList/EasyPrivacy • HTTPS-Only mode — automatic connection upgrades • Clear Data on Exit now works reliably with background task • Improved landscape mode layout for URL bar, toolbar, and tab grid • Bottom toolbar maintains consistent size across orientations • Tab previews properly centered in landscape • App Lock with PIN, Face ID, Touch ID, and Optic ID • Full localization — now available in 38 languages • Privacy popover shows security status and active protections • Scroll-to-hide bars with smooth slide animations • Security improvements and bug fixes throughout
