This version of HobartWinds has been updated to provide the following:- 1) better look and feel for the iPad 2) more coastal wind locations around Australia 3) updated for iOS 7.x 4) and where available, forecasts for individual locations shown on the wind graph

Added more detail for some of the graphs

We have made some tweaks to the user interface to make it a bit easier to navigate. We have also added a new location - Melaleuca from the South West of Tasmania - with thanks to Par Avion Wilderness Tours for providing the information.

Added Dunalley and Dennes Point to the observation locations

This update includes the following: - new graphs for current wind data - new arrows to make it easier to see what the wind is doing.

Support for iOS 6.0 and iPhone 5

Version 5.0 is being released for summer with many new features to make it easier to find where/when you should make the most of the wind. The major changes are:- - added all the Tasmanian rain radars to help understand about weather in your vicinity. - able to sort data based on wind strength and distance away. - able to select locations based on wind strength. - made it easier to select different marine forecasts (just tap on the page title). - added more detailed Hobart forecast to help understand what might happen. - added the ability to set an automatic refresh of wind data. You can now have the map open and see the wind change around the Hobart and Tasmania as the data is updated on the BOM page. - manual refresh of the wind data and the forecast data can be done by doing a "pull down" on the table. - added the ability to tweet details.

This version of HobartWinds has the following enhancements:- 1) shows arrows for the wind so that you can see quickly where the wind is coming from on the map. 2) allows you to update wind information automatically. 3) wind data is updated automatically when returning from the background. 4) refresh on the forecasts pages should now work everytime.

Fixes bug that stops application from retrieving wind data

Added the ability to email/text forecasts and current conditions so that you can share the information quickly with friends. Also added a few more graphs for temperature/pressure and rain

This application now supports the iPad. Other changes have also been incorporated to allow users to review the wind throughout the whole of Tasmania. Some minor fixes now allows for refresh on every screen.

Modified to fix problems caused with the upgrade to iOS version 4.0

Rebuilt with iOS 4.0 to enable multi tasking

A host of usability changes have been added to improve the way this application can be used:- 1) made all graphs zoomable 2) enabled selection of a location from the map to see the wind details 3) allowed stepping through wind prediction images 4) made wind prediction show the future from todays time and not from 7am 5) fixed a couple of bugs 6) allowed the ability to select map style 7) improved the performance of the first screen to return data. nb the zoom out on the Wind Prediction isnt great if the images are not animating.

Version 2.0 brings some major advancements and extra information. These include:- - Colour coded pins on the map to show the strength og the wind -> green less than 15 knots, purple 15-25 knots and red over 25 knots - Today's wind history charts for every point of presence for Melbourne - Wind prediction charts from the BOM. - plus numerous other fixes :)
