This app rejects words like "like", "rug", and "soy" that are definitely part of everyday usage. The dictionary needs a lot of work to make it worth playing. The algorithm that calculates the minimum number of steps between words also needs work--on several occasions I completed the puzzle in fewer steps than it said was possible.

Thanks for your feedback! Word 2 Word now has an expanded dictionary featuring all words known by more than 70% of the U.S. population. All puzzles can be solved at or under par by using only words known by more than 90% of the population.Most important, people who buy the full game now have the ability to enter Custom Words if they want to augment the existing dictionary with words that aren't included in the app.Regarding the number of steps (called par in version 2.0) it is indeed possible to solve puzzles using fewer steps than recommended. That's a bonus for those with a bigger vocabulary. Par is calculated by only using words known by at least 90% of the U.S. population, so solutions don't rely on knowing jargon or uncommon words.
Dictionary needs work

I agree with the other reviewers on the problem with the dictionary. "Cans" isn't a word? Seriously? It's very annoying to have a perfectly good solution that I can't use. A related (less annoying, but still annoying) problem - I've several times now solved the puzzles in fewer moves than the minimum required. I don't know how it's calculating those, but it needs work, too. It's a fun game, a good time-waster; but it really could and should be better.

I love word games and I like the idea behind this one but I thought it was too easy. Even the hard lvl seemed easy, although maybe that was because I couldn't go any further than the first one because I had to complete the easier lvls first. Why are we restricted like that?This could be really fun but it's too easy and becomes boring.

The idea behind the game is fun, but the app keeps crashing. Nothing seems to work. Oh well.
