Great all around, thanks GameFly!

The app is fine, doesn’t need to do much. The only critique there would be that the option to drag/drop titles up and down in my queue was a bit hard to see but that could have been because of my brightness and contrast settings.

The service overall is excellent. I receive a new game within only a few days of sending my last one back. What more could anyone expect? Game selection and availability are very good and the price makes this an extremely good value.

I’ve been a member for almost a year now without even a hint of a problem. I would strongly recommend giving it a try if you’re on the fence!

GameFly has come a long way

I have been using GameFly for a few years now. I have saved a ton a money and saved myself from that heartache of paying $60 for a bad game. They now offer an awesome rewards system to cash out on games. I got a $45 game for like $20 using the rewards system. They also have a new Self-Return feature for trusted members. I have this feature, but for some reason it comes and goes. One week I’m able to self-return and the next the feature is gone. I have messaged support who said it was still there. When I looked, it was back. Fast forward one week and it was gone again. I love the feature, but find it quite annoying that it vanishes. I hope this will be fixed soon because it helps with planning and the game turn around time. I also don’t want to have to keep messaging for help every time it vanishes.

Why does this app exist? It’s a terrible app for a terrible company. It’s a scam. You don’t need physical media to play video games on your systems anymore, you know that, right? You especially don’t need physical media that is scratched and chipped (for a game WAY down your queue, even if higher games in the queue are listed as available), and won’t actually install on your system, physical media that takes days to get to you, and then days to get back to some warehouse where they will send you another chipped, scratched piece of media that won’t install on your game system. Why would you do this to yourself on purpose? Why would you give a company like this any money?

Edit: They responded with some blah blah blah canned message about shipping times, which wasn’t the actual issue I had at all, so you can see how much they pay attention to important details, like “are we sending out damaged discs?” or “are we totally ignoring the queue our customer set up?” Congrats on your dying business, GameCrash.
