Spamdrain - clean email 4+

I have been using the app since April ‘24 after having an email account be severely compromised a year ago. My computer would not support the desktop version so I’m using the app only. For the most part, I’m happy with it, they have missed maybe 4 messages that made it thru the filter and ended up in my inbox. I’ve received answers via email every time I’ve had questions, usually w/in 24 hours. Only criticism is that I’m probably getting more, not less spam since starting with this filter, and it’s the same spam repeatedly. I realize it’s not the function to eliminate it but rather to filter it - but wish it had an impact on eliminating it. I’m checking the app maybe 10x / day to go thru & confirm the ones they have blocked. Only other suggestion I’d make is to have a way to mark them all at once rather than clicking thru each manually. In general tho, I’d recommend it & hope it will be improved w/ newer iterations.

We do not have a desktop version. We do have the mobile apps (iOS and Android) and there is the web version spamdrain.com that can be accesses from any device with the browser on it.

I’ve been using several years. Spamdrain has stopped Viruses and Spam from corrupting my iPad and iPhone. It sorts through all my mail and declares it Blocked or Allowed. Ultimately I make the final decision by opening Spamdrain and declaring mail that is Blocked as Spam or release as Regular Mail. I must also make the final decision on mail that Spamdrain has Allowed. By tapping the Trash Icon and then select Delete. I could also tap the Mail Icon and declare it as Unwanted or Spam. You also receive an email from Spamdrain daily on your Mail status. If a piece of mail is questionable, you must open Spamdrain, Blocked and declare its status. You are in total control! I highly recommend Spamdrain!

Update: I am getting more and more spam messages since the trial ended. They are coming in constantly. Obviously those who bought the subscription wouldn’t get the spam messages - it’s a push to subscribe for those who didn’t sign up right away. Due to the company’s passive aggressive response, I’m sad to have to drop my review to one star but how a company treats customers is even more important than the app itself and this one leaves a lot to be desired.

I downloaded this app and didn’t realize it was a free trial. I used it for both my email addresses and it worked well to keep spam out of my inbox (although once in a while it would filter something I needed as spam but that’s to be expected). The thing that really bummed me out was that my free trial ended and the yearly cost is too expensive. Now that the free trial has ended, I think I’m getting even more spam, probably because the app wants you to pay for the subscription.

We don't send any spam after the trial, otherwise we wouldn't be in the market for such a long time with so many happy customers and real reviews from them.
