Going skiing or snowboarding this winter? Download trail maps from your favourite ski resorts to your iPhone and use the built-in GPS to find your way around the slopes or track your activities.
The best thing is that you don't need an active internet connection, just download the maps you'll need in advance and everything you need on the slopes is right there on your iPhone. If you do have an internet connection available however, you can display webcams from Windy.com on the piste maps or check the weather forecast at your favourite resort.
SkiMaps is now also available on iPad, a great tool for making plans for your next trip!

Just downloaded the app before heading up to ten feet of pow at Kirkwood this weekend, but alack! If you guys can add it this season, and it works even decently... then it's an automatic five-star! I'll make it to Squaw this season too, so if nothing else... KIRKWOOD - PULLLLLLEEEEEZE!?

I just used this app again for the first time in years. Although it needs an update with many more trail maps to access, the support from the developers is fantastic. I emailed them requesting that they add a map from a local ski resort near me —Bogus Basin— that previously didn’t show up when I did a search for it within the app. Within 3 days I received a response stating that while blurry, they had successfully added it in now for others to access. It is for this reason, among others, that I consider this app well worth the money. The mere willingness of these developers to receive feedback and requests from us users is a quality you don’t find in many apps these days. Amazing app.

Outstanding app. I love how many maps it has access to. Whistler, Heavenly, Aspen, Arlberg, ect. This app is truly the goat.
A bug was fixed that could cause the connection with the SkiMaps API to fail after going offline for a bit.
