Table football, since 2010

$4.99 · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.

The first foosball game on iPad is back. The same original code — now on a dished table where the ball carries real momentum and only moves because a player hit it. Table football, the real thing: eight rods, one ball, and as many fingers as you can fit on the glass. TSoccer-HD was the first foosball game on the iPad, published in the App Store's opening weeks in 2010. This is that same game. The code is the original, still hand-written Objective-C, brought forward to run properly on today's screens and today's iOS. TWO TABLES • Gravity — the table is dished, the way a real one is. The ball carries its own momentum, rolls back toward the middle when nothing touches it, and only moves because a player hit it. Every contact puts spin on it. Let it settle and it will sit there until somebody plays it. • Classic — the 2010 ball, which keeps its pace and never settles. Still here, unchanged, for the game you remember. PLAY IT LIKE THE TABLE • Every rod moves independently. Take as many as your hands can reach — the table follows a finger on each one. • One player against the machine, or two players around the same device. • Link a side to its keeper's bar and run the whole team with one hand, or work all four rods yourself. Home and visitor are set separately. • Drag a handle, lift your finger, carry on from where you left it — the rods do not snap back. THE OPPONENT • The original 2010 opponent is still here, playing the classic table exactly as it always did. • Or play the new one, which reads the ball off the cushions, works out where it will arrive, and gets a rod there first. Easy, normal and hard. • On the gravity table it plays the foosball move: one player rolls the ball across the rod, the next one strikes it. HOW IT FEELS • Real contact: a round ball against rounded feet, resolved as geometry rather than a table of fixed angles. A moving foot passes its swing to the ball, so a strike is not a bounce. • Haptics on contact — the ball off a player, the ball off the cushion, a double pulse for a goal. • Grip guides that show exactly how far each rod can travel. • The buttons in the middle of the table fade while the ball is running, and come back the moment you pause. SET IT UP YOUR WAY • Game by time or by score • Ball speed, four levels • Music from your own library, with skip during play • Sound on or off • Show or hide the grass and the bars • Full statistics, including a player list • Settings remembered between games • One app for iPhone and iPad No accounts, no ads, no tracking, nothing collected. Just the table.

The first update since 2010, and the original game is intact. TWO TABLES TO CHOOSE FROM • Gravity — the table is dished, the way a real one is. The ball carries its own momentum, rolls back toward the middle when nothing touches it, and only moves because a player hit it. Every contact puts spin on it. This is the new default. • Classic — the 2010 ball, which keeps its pace and never settles. Still here, unchanged, for anyone who wants the game they remember. ALSO NEW • A new opponent that reads the ball off the cushions and gets a rod there first, in easy, normal and hard. On the gravity table it plays the foosball move: one man rolls the ball across, the next one strikes it. • The original 2010 opponent is still here, playing the classic table exactly as it always did. • Real contact: a round ball against rounded feet, resolved as geometry, with a moving foot passing its swing to the ball. • Haptics for contact, cushions and goals. • Grip guides showing how far each rod travels, and independent handles for all eight rods on both iPhone and iPad. • A rebuilt options screen with every setting on one page, and new drawn icons for the opponent and the table. • The buttons in the middle of the table fade while the ball is running, so they stay out of the way of the play. • Fits modern iPhone and iPad screens properly, edge to edge. FIXED • The info button worked only when sound was on. • The home and visitor link controls could act on the wrong side. • The keeper's rod could come away from its bar. • The ball could be trapped between a wall and a player and rattle there. • The ball speed icon stayed lit after switching back down. • Option icons could show the wrong state until you touched them.
