Paid for an Ad-Free Experience, But Still Bombarded with Ads

Despite purchasing the annual subscription specifically to remove ads, I’m still constantly seeing them. The advertisements make the app nearly unusable. I feel like I wasted my money — even after paying, the ads won’t go away. This is extremely frustrating and disappointing.

I use this dictionary for looking up Turkish words in English. Since there’s often not a simple one-to-one correspondence, I like how it shows all the possible translations. For many words it also includes a link to a video/audio sample so you can hear it in a context. The interface is simple but includes auto-suggestion, back-button and history which make it surprisingly effective for looking up words and phrases on the go. One thing I’d like to see is daily/periodic suggestions, which the website actually does quite nicely! Ads are always annoying so I went ahead and paid for it which works great for me because I use it multiple times a day.

The database is great. Turkish-English (and vice versa) is pretty poor on most translation services, but TurEng has really great translations for words and, most importantly, phrases and sayings. It doesn't do full sentence translations which, considering the vast difference in grammar structure between the two languages, is understandable. For that, use something like Google Translate and know that the grammar is going to be pretty subpar.The app gets the job done, but it would be nice if there were a premium option for removing ads and if it supported iOS URL schemes; I'd love to be able to add this into Launch Center Pro but you can't even do so much as launch the app from there.

The less than 5 star reviews should really be ignored for practical reasons. Would you rather watch an ad or pay money to use the application? The less than 5 stars are people who do not know what they are doing or don’t plan ahead for the application. You can email the company and ask them to fix their system if it doesn’t work the way you like it. I love it, I use it all of the time this app. Would highly recommend.
