This app does right what so few Kanji apps do: offers a to the point, no-nonsense, non-gimmicky, set of digital flash cards for studying kanji. Do not be fooled by the simple presentation, this app will help you to do the hard work needed to memorize kanji. It will actually save you tons of time because you don't need to make our own flashcard set.The best feature of the app is that you can be quizzed on different elements of the characters separately. So first you can focus on meaning, then after you know their meanings you can do separate quizzes for on'yomi and kun'yomi. It makes a huge difference being able to work on each aspect of the kanji via different types of quizzes. This will keep you from getting overwhelmed.Is there room for improvement? Sure, but the beauty of this app is its simplicity. Be sure to have a pen and paper with you to practice your writing and you will be set.Good luck to everyone in their Japanese Studies.

After using this program online for two years I finally bought the app. It's fun and easy to use. It's really a review aid, so it helps if you already know 15 or 20 kanji with at least one reading before you get started. You can use it to learn the readings also, but I don't use that aspect as much as I should. Half of the program is in English, but to get the full benefit reading hiragana is also necessary. I like the variety of settings that allow you to test yourself on a lot of material or just a little. Thanks so much for creating this app! NW
