solution to opening images:

If you've tried opening images by going to FILE > OPEN and it hasn't work, try dragging your image from your finder to the app on the dock... That worked for me.

There's no undo button which is a pain; the alternative is that it creates a new window (layer?) every time you edit something..

Small tool fills niche

The Preview application that comes with MacOS is great, and can handle many image viewing functions. However, ToyViewer fills an important niche. The Effects menu provides many nice image filters. The File/Export supports a lot of formats not supported by Preview. While it does not do a huge number of functions, what it does it does very well. A great simple and free tool that helps me when other bigger tools fail.

What’s with the creepy example images?

Surely the dev has more than 3 images; surely he most have pix of men, adult men, and maybe — even adult some (or t least women who are not dressed and styled to look like teenagers). Based on the pp’s description, there are many valuable features in this small app. As they look now, most all of his images look like he’s software for porn site.
