The allies don't help at all and and often get in the way. You're pretty much taking on everyone, which makes the harder levels impossible.

The update totally fixed all problems. Works like a charm :) But I would have to say, this is the worst of the games that they have made... Buy European War I and II first.

If you plan to play as the U.S. prepare to get anihlated over and over again. Its not impossible to win as the U.S., but you really have to keep drafting troops like no other. The one great benefit is that there is the constitution card that allows you to get 5 extra troops in each territory, which can be very cost effective-particularly if you have acquired quite a few territories. It can be frustrating to lose so many troops in one battle, but, they can be gotten back and then some as your draft card gives you 5 troops a card, which is not bad. Great game, exciting to play, and it is alot more challenging than European War, but like I said, its not impossible.

Screen display is off center so that you can only see a small portion of the screen.
