If only it would sync consistently...

The title sums it up. I’ve used the app for years because, as you’ve heard, there is no app that better represents the Franklin Planner. The ONLY problem I have, which is a major one and as many other people share, is it doesn’t sync consistently. Therefore, I can only use it on my iPad, which is ok, but not close to ideal. I have a low level of confidence that I won’t lose my data, although I never have lost any. I back up multiple times per day. If only they could fix the sync issue, this app would be 10 stars.As for customer service, I have had very good experiences with them. I have always recived good follow up but if the sync function worked properly, I would never need to talk with them.BTW, I do print out my historical pages and save them….just for added peace of mind.

Opus Domini is the only app I have found that can truly simulate the experience of a paper planner. Not sure why there is such a gap in this market but for some reason, there is. Yes, most companies today are all about digital calendars and schedulers and collaboration software but for artists, writers and other creative, self employed people (or just individual people), the value of a the pen and paper experience is significant. Even Livescribe, the company that supposedly understands this and makes all kinds and sizes of notebooks for their pens, has (for years) been ignoring customer requests for a notebook with planner pages.Calendar apps aren’t for planning. SO… Opus Domini fills that gap and does it well. It even syncs with iPad!!! No small thing. The only problem is, they haven’t updated the software in 3 years! And the iPad version (more important than the OS X version) is almost non existent. Maybe calendar apps are easy and this kind of software is hard?

I liked the simplified look of Opus Domini, so I thought I would give it a try. The tab layout was nice and made it easy to get to each page. For me however, I just found it to be too simple. Within a couple days I realized that I needed a planner to do much more than this to keep my busy schedule and tasks in order. I have ended up buying a different product at a higher price with a lot more flexibility and bells and whistles. I never had any problem with syncing between my devices and think this might be good for a college student, stay at home parent, or someone without a lot of diverse tasks and scheduling needs.
Not quite what I was looking for.

I have literally tried every single task manageent system savailable for Mac/iOS. Quite frankly, most have serious design flaws preventing them from being usable, with Apple's Reminders being the biggest culprit as it doesnt even work properly and Apple seems to keep their head in the sand on this. Opus is actually even better than what I had been searching for. Especially if you have any history using a Franklin Day Planner system as this is pretty much identical. My only complete would be the amount of time it took to find it. I’m not sure if the search word "task" brought it up until recently but very happy that I found it.
