NCR Specialty Retail offers tools that help retailers manage their operations, engage with customers, and enable sales from virtually anywhere. One of these tools is CPMobile, a suite of mobile applications available on Apple devices like the iPod Touch, iPhone, and iPad (iOS 15.0 or later). It integrates seamlessly with the NCR Counterpoint point-of-sale and retail management system. Retailers can choose from various modules, ranging from basic item and customer lookup to full mobile point-of-sale and inventory management capabilities. With the Item & Customer Lookup module, users can access pricing and inventory data on the go, as well as view or add customer information directly from their mobile device. This allows store associates to assist customers on the sales floor without needing to return to a register or office. The CPMobile POS module enhances flexibility by enabling sales transactions anywhere. It supports faster checkouts through “line-busting” and empowers staff to act as mobile sales associates, helping close sales on the spot. It’s also ideal for off-site selling at events like sidewalk sales, trade shows, or community gatherings, with real-time inventory updates and payment processing. For inventory tasks, the CPMobile Inventory Management module allows for quick and accurate physical counts, ensuring inventory data remains current. CPMobile also supports mobile credit card processing through integrated chip and magnetic-stripe readers that attach to the mobile device. Retailers can choose from various receipt printing options, including mobile printers and email receipts. If barcode scanning isn’t needed, a magnetic stripe reader (MSR) can be connected via the data port of an iPad, iPod Touch, or iPhone. REQUIREMENTS – To use CPMobile, retailers must have NCR Counterpoint version 8.5.6.8 or later with Mobile Services deployed. For card payments, version 8.5.7 or later, a compatible payment terminal (iSMP4 or Link/2500), and a Secure Pay account are required. CPMobile will be activated upon registration on the NCR specialty retail web site. The optional hardware that can be used with CPMobile can be purchased from an authorized NCR specialty retail resellers.

Absurd to pay $70 a month for something I already paid thousands for. A small yearly fee I'm ok with but it should actually be free since I already paid to use the software. Very bugged and crashes if you scan barcode with phone, you would need to buy a sledscanner.

Sounds great but phony app

Downloaded this app in January and haven’t been able to use it yet. The app will not link to our server and I have reached out to NCR and they refer me to our local counter point representative. I did do that and he is still having issues will trying to get it to work. Not impressed, just like other apps you find on the App Store the wording sound great but in the real world they do not do what they they will do.

To begin, the only thing “free” with this app is the use of basic it lookup and customer lookup. If you with to do anything else with this app, it will cost an arm and a leg. Upwards of 60-70+ depending on how many devices it will be used on. I will NEVER pay that much for something that has cost me thousands for licensing. This entire app and price structure needs to be re-evaluated!

This app will frustrate you to no end. It still isn't iOS 10 ready and doesn't work half the time. If you have a sled, be prepared for this app to not recognize it at random times. You'd think that they would work out the bugs since you PAY A SUBSCRIPTION to use it. Absolute junk. Shame on NCR.
