This wonderful app to support your student in learning how to tell time has been used by various excellent schools such as in Montessori education. Make time telling fun and easy to learn. Your children will love this educational clock because it is fun and the Kid Klok has helped children world-wide to master the art of time telling. The Kid Klok, praised by parents, teachers, and children, segregates the hour and minute components of time and creates a simple visual link between the clock numbers and the clock hands through size and color. This eliminates the confusion and frustration young students experience while learning and using analog time. This Kid Klok gives the current analog and digital time on the same screen so your child will always know the time. To Play a new Time, touch and drag the hands on the Kid Klok. The Digital Time also changes as the hands are moved. The analog time can also be set by changing the digital time. Touch the hour or minutes on the Digital Time to show a Time Wheel. Move the Time Wheel and the analog time changes. The time can be spoken at any time when the Speaker Icon is touched. If your child or student is just beginning, a suggestion is to begin with Kid Klok Easy, which makes the Kid Klok easier by keeping the hour hand on the exact hour number as the minutes change. The hour hand jumps to the next hour when the next hour is reached. In addition, the minute jumps in 5 minute steps so that the clock’s two hands are pointing exactly to the hour and minute numbers to read. Thus, the child can read the Kid Klok Easy in the same way he or she reads the digital display of time. This facilitates the transition to the normal Kid Klok that moves the hour and minute hands in the same manner as everyday clocks. The Kid Klok was invented and patented by Dr. Dom Massaro, patent number 4885731. This application was programmed by McLean Taylor.

Fun and engaging way to learn time

This app is a very nice aid for children learning to tell time. With the addition of colors to differentiate the hour and minute hand, time telling is less confusing for children on the app and in the long run. They can make associates of hour and minute confidentially and then transform that knowledge to all clocks they see. You can also adjust the analog clock and the hands will follow, which is also quite useful. Overall the app is unique and engaging, a great addition to anyone who has a child learning to read time!

Useful not only for learning how to tell time, but also for learning about elapsed time and time word problems. The interactivity and simple sounds are very motivating for the LD and autism spectrum kids. In addition, it actually tells time in "real" time, too.
