over all this player is okai, core player is good as supporting alot of files, but it does not support chapter skipping in mkv, and please make this player frame less and make the control panel overlay.

I like this app a lot. Tested a bunch of different formats (flv, avi, mkv, mp4) and it played them all. I don’t know why a previous reviewer said it doesn’t play audio. That’s not true. Audio came through without a problem.Pros:Supports all the latest under the hood mac os x technologies.Since its uses hardware acceleration, it scrubs videos the best of any player. I was able to scroll through a matroska video file without any lag. I was able to use the playback bar to instantly go to any point in the video. Matroska files usually choke any of the players I have used in the past and certainly don’t allow instant scrubbing.Cons:Barebones in its feature set.Does NOT have the ability to vary the playback speed. This would be my #1 feature request. I NEED to double speed a lot of videos I watch in school. Please implement this feature! If this is done I would have no problem recommending this player as the "go to" video player on the Mac.

A waste of money. Apple shouldn’t sell apps that have no support.

ATK has been GREAT. It plays everything on my Mac. All video files that Quicktime couldnt touch this one was able to play quickly and easily. No loading time. There is only one flaw I wish was addressed: On wmv files there is a lag every 4 seconds. The video (but not audio) will slow down for about .4 seconds, then return to normal speed. Its very distracting. Unfortunately for our team working on video files, they use MovieMaker and easiest to save on wmv files and transfer them to me for viewing in a reasonable size. Other than that…and no support for this technical issue on the website. The program is great.
