Welcome to the 2020 edition of Bridge. With 3 modes of play, practically unlimited deals (alright only 2 billion hands!) and the ability to search for hands matching one of many different criteria this traditional Bridge game is sure to teach, challenge and entertain you for hours

Designed for both beginners and more advanced players you can choose how you prefer to play. There are plenty of features if you are trying to learn Bridge including auto play and hints. Meanwhile the more advanced players can use the bid analysis or replay hand features to explore different lines of card play.

Bridge is played by four players who form two partnerships. Players within a partnership face each other across a table. Traditionally, the players are referred to by the points of the compass - North, East, South and West. The two partnerships are North/South and East/West.

Bridge V+ supports the 3 primary variants of the game of Bridge: Rubber, Chicago and Duplicate Bridge.

In Rubber Bridge a rubber is played as the best of three games. A game is won by the first partnership to score 100 or more points in successful contracts.

In Chicago Bridge you play four hands of Bridge. The winner is the partnership that scores the most points in those hands.

In Duplicate Bridge the same hands are played by each partnership that has entered a tournament. The winner is the partnership that scores the most points.

An internet connection is required to participate in Duplicate Bridge tournaments which can be played for virtual or real money. To comply with current legislation real money tournaments are only available to over 18s in a limited set of territories. Device location must be enabled to ensure eligibility.

Bridge is free to download but ad-funded. Displaying adverts allows us to offer the game for free whilst still being able to generate some revenue to help pay for the continued development of the game. You can choose to remove the adverts via a single In App Purchase if that is your individual preference.

The small team behind Bridge have been producing Bridge games for nearly 40 years. One of our first products was Bridge Challenger released in the early 80s!

Do we get every bid correct or play every hand perfectly? absolutely not!. Often there is no one single correct answer making Bridge the game we love. Meanwhile we continue to develop and improve the game.

Please feel free to contact us via our support email if you have comments and suggestions. Please, please include any Deal Id if you are commenting on specific deals as that is the only way we can reasonably play the hand in question here.

Game Engine needs to be updated

Why my partner is playing against me? Most of the time the opponents get the best card, that I can get. But my own partner will bid unnecessarily high and then lose the game is not understandable. I bid for 1 spade, it will bid 5 spade after me. Having great card from own suit but will bid for another that it doesn't have any card top 10. Will not allow me to double the opponents by placing much higher bid of a suit that it didn't have any card. And all these cases, losing the game. My partner will start the game with a suit that's only favorable for the opponents.

My opponents on the other hand, always know what cards everyone has and bid that way. My partner also knows what card everyone has and will bid for suit that's just not logical in any ways.

This game is making me frustrated every time I hope this will get better specially after any updates. But it remains the same.

Developer Response ,

Over a statistical meaningful sample of hands neither side gets more points than the other. As in real life there are times when one side can get runs of more/less points than the opponents. Choose the 'Select hand' option if you want to find hands with more/less points.

Auto play testing of 10s of thousands of hands shows that Bridge will occasionally overbid by 1 trick and rarely overbids by more than 1. In these cases its nearly always an unfavourable split of cards that causes contracts to be lost.

Bridge is and always will be a game of teamwork. You need to play with the computer player as much as the computer player is attempting to work with you. Clearly if the engine can autoplay and make the majority of the contracts it bids it is not trying its best to cause you to lose a contract - it has no idea whether its a computer or human that has played a card.

mad my bridge app stolen ,

New update destroyed my app! I paid for this app years ago.

I paid for this bridge app years ago but when I did the latest update The whole app no longer is accessible!!!!!!!!
Your update did not say that or I would not have updated. It only said you need iOS 10.0 or better and my iOS is 10.3.3. Can you remove this update and give me back the old version? Thank you for taking the time to explain the problem to me! You have been remarkably nice and I appreciate it! I am just really going to miss this bridge app! Hopefully Santa will bring me a new non-obsolete iPad! Again, thank you so much!

Developer Response ,

Our best guess from the info above is that your device is now marked as obsolete and the developer tools don't allow us to support the device any more. E.g. all apps must be 64-bit and your device is too old so its only a 32-bit device.

Unfortunately OS version is not a measure of whether a device is marked as obsolete or not. The app store does not allow for multiple versions of apps within it as far as we are aware + even if it did firstly the developer tools don't create versions compatible with devices Apple have chosen to declare as obsolete and secondly the App Store ingestion process that is required to digitally sign the products does not accept versions compatible with obsolete devices.

We fully appreciate this is less than ideal but we are stuck between a rock and hard place on this one.

What happened?

This game has been working fine and it provides a very enjoyable distraction while playing. Unfortunately, something has changed and everytime I try to open the game it crashes. Please fix it folks. It's no good to anyone if it can't be opened and played.

It is working fine again, so thanks for fixing. Please make the game playable in landscape (rather than portrait) view. I use an iPad and having to rotate the iPad to play is very inconvenient.
