Booko Buddy 3.0 launches with a new SwiftUI iPhone and iPad interface with full support for dark mode and a faster way to browse different editions of a book. You can now search specifically for ebooks and audiobooks as well as books and video, and the share function supports the standard system share sheet for easy sharing to your favourite messaging and note-taking applications. Country support has been expanded to include Philippines, Malaysia, Argentina, Chile, Israel, and Hong Kong. Other general bug fixes and stability improvements are included.

Booko Buddy emerges into 2026, blinking at the unexpected sunlight! Thank you to everyone who found the app useful despite nine years of no maintenance. While no new features have been added, the app's underpinnings have been modernised and it should now work correctly on modern phone sizes as well as taking advantage of Liquid Glass on iOS26. The barcode scanner has been refreshed, and some bugs around search terms have been squashed. I hope the app continues to serve you well. This hotfix disables dark mode for the app. Full dark mode support is in development.
