I live on the shore of Lake Michigan. Basically a micro-climate, and WeatherMax is somehow able to accurately predict rain and snow, something that other weather apps fail to do because they aren’t as locally focused. Another huge added bonus is how clean the radar map is. Apple Weather visuals with absurd accuracy. With the continuous improvements I’ve been seeing week to week, I have no doubt that WeatherMax will be my go-to for a long time.

This app started out well. Except I don’t use an app that I have to pay for future radar. So many free apps far more ratings than this that have future radar included. The rest of this app has potential but pay for future radar—No Way!. Plus this app uses Apple radar, so might as well download Apple weather it’s free and has future radar atNo cost.

A couple of quick notes: WeatherMax+ runs its own radar rather than Apple's, and future radar is free for the first 30 minutes — WeatherMax+ Essential extends it to the full 2 hours. Halloween Sky Theme
A spooky new sky theme for October: a purple dusk sky with a pumpkin-orange glow, a big harvest moon, bats flying overhead and green lightning. The radar gets matching colors too. Find it in Settings → Sky Theme. Available until November 2.
