Exceptional utility
Skytouch
I just finished adding metatags to a new song I'm producing and must pause to write a review. Metadatics is an incredible app for metatag editing. For starters the UI is clear and well organized, with nice toolbar customization options and keyboard shortcuts to speed editing. But the wow feature is how easy it is to copy all tags from one file to another. I just completed a mix, opened both the new and previous files in metadatics, and with two simple commands (Copy All / Paste Replace All) cloned all metatags into the new file. This includes photos, descriptive text, lyrics and all the standard tags needed for music publishing and release. Many thanks to the developers for an excellent product.
Best app I have purchased

This is without a doubt, the best app I have ever purchased using the app store or for any of my Macs. I have a 1TB+ flac server of every CD I own and loads of legally downloaded and shared music (Dead, WSP, Phish, etc. etc.) No app I have tried has been as powerful and accurate for fixing meta data as this one. I’m pretty careful when I rip now, but when I did the bulk of my library (all with XLD, and some back in 2001 on a Wintel machine with EAC) there were problems all over the place. I was able to clean up everything and re-sync my LMS server, Twonky server and Plex server in only 3 sessions. I would give this app 10 stars if I could. I just hope it stays this good.
Very Handy

For directly managing the metadata for my music library this tool has been really useful. The tool for automatically finding album artwork is great. I have been getting that updated on many tracks that did not have it, so artwork will display correctly on the screen in my car (BMW iDrive). The process is faster than in iTunes and results in the data being correctly embedded in the music file. The developer seems responsive - a recent bug causing a crash was addressed quickly.
Easy But Powerful

There are a lot of metadata tagging apps out there that suffer from an unintuitive poorly designed user interface and thus a “how do I do what I want to do” problem. Metadatics by contrast has a really good user intuitive user interface that makes tag adding/editing easy. That said, it also has quite a bit of built-in functionality that provides for more complex tag (and filename) adding/editing. After trying out a bunch of taggers, Metadatics is my “go to”.
• The track lists in the MusicBrainz window can now be sorted by track number, title, or length, and the new Match to Files button lines up the MusicBrainz tracks with your files by title and length.
• Removing album artwork now shrinks the file instead of leaving the space the artwork used behind.
• Fixed album artwork in Monkey's Audio (APE) files: added artwork couldn't be read back, and saving could erase artwork the file already had.
• Fixed MusicBrainz writing the Year in the wrong numerals or calendar, or not at all, for some region and time zone settings.
• Fixed the file list still showing the old names after Rename Files changed only the capitalization of a file name.
• Files that Rename Files can't rename are now reported in the Error Log.
• Fixed a comment with many lines pushing the other fields in the General tab out of view.
• Fixed Add Files not letting you choose a folder on macOS 27.
• Fixed Cut, Copy, and Paste piling up in the album artwork context menu on macOS 27.
• Fixed dialog buttons touching each other on macOS 26 and later.
