more So I'm giving Rise three stars because it does what it's supposed to and looks beautiful doing it. A few things would push it into great territory. One, it be nice if the alarm would sound even if the phone's ringer switch is turned to off/silent/vibrate. I rarely have the sound of my phone on, so the fact that the default Clock app does this has me spoiled. Two, please allow the alarm to sound when headphones are plugged in, either through the phone's speaker or at least the headset. A vibrating notification doesn't cut it, especially when I'm asleep. Again, Apple's default Clock alarm does this. Btw, I go to sleep with headphones on and i'm prob not the only one that appreciates that function. Third, please add single minute increments instead of only the five-minute ones when setting the alarm. Lastly, it'd be awesome if you could set more than one alarm but that might interfere with the minimalist vibe. Still, love the interface and would love it to take the place of my daily alarm. Until then it'll have to be relegated to weekends and vacation or other times when it's not essential I wake up on time.

Please fix the snooze. I still use this app every day even without snooze. Also please fix progressive sound volume increase. That was my favorite feature.

I tried just about every alarm app looking for some simple features. I needed to be able to set my alarm, go to my iTunes and play my night time sleep playlist, put on my sleep headphones - and trust the alarm app to do 2 simple things: 1. Allow the iTunes music to keep playing even while I the open the alarm app back up to be displaying the time - this app just seamlessly allows that. Some other apps I tried just wouldn't function well with having music playing all night. I would go back to the alarm app to have it be in the foreground - and my music would shut off. 2. I just wanted my alarm sound to play through the sleep headphones and not on the phones external speaker. My husband and I have very different schedules and I needed an alarm that he wouldn't hear. I have no idea why that's such a hard thing for apps to do but this one does it seamlessly . No other app had these 2 features. So this has been perfect for me. It's easy to set multiple alarms and I love the nature sounds option because it's a gentle cool way to wake up and then there are the fun quotes that display. This app also doesn't seem to over use power or randomly stay bright which some other apps did and those others even heated up the phone. I use the paid version because I cluttered my phone with useless free apps that didn't do what I wanted and what's a few bucks to get something that works and helps me out every day and does exactly what I need it to? We tried to open Rise up to iOS 6.1 users but it just won't be stable enough for us to trust with a lot of the new things we've done in the new version. So, Rise updates are for iOS 7 and up.
To get an earlier version of Rise:
1) Open the App Store and to the purchased screen.
2) Select the app you want to download.
3) Confirm that you want to download it. It will prompt you about the earlier compatible version.
